I hope the staff doesn't give up on Maddox. Get him on campus and sway him away from VTech. From what I've been hearing the Hokies are really trying to make greater inroads into the fertile DC area for basketball recruits and having them, with a brand new head coach, take a big time WCAC player away is cause for future concern. Ewing didn't get such a player until after his second year. We’re done here

Interesting... He knows how to score th ball, but needs to get in a lot better shape. Tbf that's why I personally wasn't too high on Myles Powell a couple years back, and he ended up pretty good. I guess I'll tts on this one. That would be two projects for the strength and conditioning program with Wilson at the opposite end of the spectrum.

Been wondering what's up with him...been very quiet for last month or so...he seemed to be quite interested for awhile, then crickets...I wonder if its that he's not yet qualified for '19 (maybe has been trying to complete requirements)?...Time will tell... Would need to prep before enrolling at Georgetown

...wondering when he'll come out with a cut list. Kid has some serious game. He had serious athleticism. Still working on the game

Also... If Waheed is able to pull both Williams and RJ as the lead recruiter, that would be a huge way to prove himself Indeed...he's actively recruiting LIKE he has something to prove...keep up the persistence Coach Waheed...this 2020 has potential to shape up nicely for us. He DOES have something to prove

Anything on Kiyon Boyd? Recovery from ACL? Likely won’t ever play organized basketball again and it has nothing to do with an injury

Falk, generally represents Hoyas in the NBA. The “teams” surrounding prospects often have their own ideas about that and get spooked by Falk’s presence. I recall hearing that narrative a few years back, but honestly, I can't imagine it is still a concern. The Hoyas have not had many players move on to play professionally in the last few years (other than LJ and Marcus) and I don't recall either of them being represented by Falk. I know Falk did represent Ewing when he went to the NBA, but that was a long time ago. Is Falk still a major player in the agent business these days? How old would he be at this point? I am not saying your wrong, but it just sounds odd to me that story would resonate with young recruits and their "teams" Represents Otto, Greg Monroe and Pat

Hearing it’s very possible David Falk’s presence is why we were eliminated Please elaborate. Falk, generally represents Hoyas in the NBA. The “teams” surrounding prospects often have their own ideas about that and get spooked by Falk’s presence.

Perhaps Oregon's pending ncaa troubles might sway his decision even more. Everything seems to point to UNC right now...but we can't underestimate the ewing/anthony family connection. We shouldn’t overestimate it either

Akok spoke very highly on his visit, have we heard anything from Shannon? Haven’t seen any interviews, but he posted quite a bit on his Snapchat. It LOOKED like he had a really good time.

Topping Akok’s list for what he is looking for from a college is the relationship with the head coach.
“It’s the most important thing,” he said. “You need a guy like that who is going to make you better every day, every time you step on the floor whether it’s in practice or the game's situations.”When pressed on who he might take official visits with, Akok said Georgetown and UConn but offered no timetable on his decision... Feeling like a wet blanket once again, but I’m not sure I’m seeing him as a five star type player right now, or as a big. Seems to play more like wing who’s a good shot blocker. Interesting blend of skills, but his AAU numbers and clips I’ve seen don’t jump out at me. He apparently played really well at some late summer events so I guess I’ll have to take a second look. I saw him live at one of those events and he is indeed a 5* prospect

You don’t take two projects. This probably isn’t happening I don't see Timmy as a true project. He's produced in the international game. Definitely not a year 1 starter but wouldn't need to be anyway with Yurt. Wilson is a project, Timmy is a prospect. With those measurables and that he's been playing for the NBA academy, chances are he's already on NBA radars. Good point

Oklahoma St was left out last season.
They had 8 wins vs the field including a non-conference win against Florida St. They beat Kansas TWICE.
They even played Arkansas, Wichita St and Texas A&M our of conference.
Their non conference SOS was still 240 and they didn’t get in out of THAT league.
