Rumor is that on February 23rd of the upcoming season that Georgetown will host a College Gameday--it'll be the Hoyas and Nova and found a list on Wikipedia College Gameday--which had all of the past games from '07 listed and future schedule for '08. Not sure if it's tenative or set in stone--but just thought I'd put it out there for those who are interested and excited that GU would host Gameday.

That would be awesome for us to host Gameday. Hopefully hoya blue can get people there and make the crowd look really good for the cameras.

It's Wikipedia, and since everyone in the world can post on it, you know it's right. I'm going to the bank on this one.

This has great potential ... to be awesome or awful.

There should be an HB meeting about this TODAY and RBHoya should start brushing up on his half-court shot skillz.

I believe all those featured games are 9pm tip-off. That would be very cool.

That is why I added the question mark at the end and it seems you are bitter about the Jakub posting comments you are carrying it over to this? It's at least interesting topic to discuss in offseason wouldn't you say?

this is where we have to show our stuff: Spirit Meter: This segment looks to see how loud the crowd behind them really is. In its short existence on the basketball version, the loudest so far has been at University of Kentucky on February 10, 2005.
Only one BE game this year. seems like they tried to spread it out over all the conferences there were 2 big east games last year but only one this year. only the acc has two conference games this year.

I wonder if they're doing it in McDonough. It would seem that with a night game there'd likely be an afternoon Caps/Wizards game.

Dude Manhattan, KS is gonna be rockin' on Feb. 2nd when the Payhawks come to town. Yeah like SF says if it pans out this has great potential to be awesome or awful. It would be a nice excuse to spend 12-14 hours of my life in Chinatown because of a GTown game though. That never gets old. ;D

it will be interesting to see how ESPN does this. If they do the show at McD and then move it to MCI for the post game stuff where they talk about the game and have the hour long before show at the Phonebooth too. That should be a great matchup and if they can get that set in stone it should be a huge recruiting weekend for JTIII and the gang.
Payhawks, nice touch? Allen Fieldhouse West will be rocking on Feb 2. K-State has not beaten KU in Bramledge Coliseum since its inception in 1988. The streak actually dates back further into old Ahern Fieldhouse.

I want to see Jay Bilas in Clydes. That is all. We owe you a drink, Jay.

Don't want to rain on the parade, but how can this be anything but wishful thinking until the Wizards & Capitals schedules are out as all the Game Day games are at 9PM.

I like the rivalry aspect, but I'm thinking that us vs. Louisville is going to be a more important game next year. Why not show up then?

Take the blinders off, friend...I don't smart over other posts (side note: just the thought of that is taking this internet-machine board a little uber-serious, no?), all I do is take my cues from The World's Best Boss, Michael Scott. Anyway, stop being bitter because I put your stapler in Jell-O again.

I just hope that Jay Wright is still there. Rumors keep floating about him being high on our list. Yuck.

I would prefer the Louisville game, if only because the Nova game at Georgetown last year was one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. Naismith would have turned over in his grave.

Naismith would have turned over in his grave. I don't know--he might have appreciated the low scoring. However, I suspect all of the dribbling and open-bottomed baskets would have confused him.
