Duke is yesterday's news, but it still remains in our best interest to root against the ACC.
Go Rebels!!!
(I would cheer on Albany, but they have no chance against the Yahoos - I mean Wahoos)

How long does North Texas expose Memphis as frauds before eventually going down?
I'm betting they take 'em a fair bit into the second half before fading.

So far, 10 minutes in, and UNT up 22-18.

UNT is completely blowing this game with bad decisions. Could be tied or up even but have let memphis pull to 13 by missing a bunch of easy shots and committing bad turnovers. Memphis does not look that great in this game.

Brian Butch has been cleared to play for Wisconsin this afternoon. Not sure how much time he'll get in this round, but the addition should put to the test Badgers fans' prevailing theory that Butch's absence is the main explanation for their somewhat mediocre play for the last few weeks.

I think all the duke talk was mainly because it was the only real upset last night. I want GT to pull this out for my bracket's sake. I wish the mean green would beat Memphis but they're giving it away it's ok cause creighton will beat memphis in the second round anyway.

I had GT in the Elite 8. What a gutless performance. They have given up 7 straight offensive boards to a team half their size.

UNLV should really be considered a major conference team this year. Lon Kruger is no amateur. Nice win for the Runnin' Rebs. Would you rather be facing BC, Indiana, or UNLV in round 2?

I also had Georgia Tech in my bracket but I'm glad they lost...my ears are going to start bleeding if I hear "the ACC is the best conference in the country" one more time, and a Georgia Tech win would have guaranteed more of that nonsense.

Grant Wahl declared the ACC best last night based on...what exactly? they're 4-2 so far, with BC the only team winning against a competitive foe. UNC, Virginia, and Maryland had no excuse if they lost. The true test will be this weekend.

You are forgetting Cotton McKnight & Pepper Brooks.

Apparently, Kyle McAlarney has rejoined the Irish. Nice work, CBS Sportsline.
And who the hell is Hillesland? I don't even remember him from the Hoya-ND games.

I don't count anyone from the Ocho. But seriously, I think Ian Eagle could have been a character in a 80's show about some sort of underground force with an attack vehicle (see: Street Hawk, Blue Thunder, Airwolf, Riptide, etc.)

Not sure how much time he'll get in this round, but the addition should put to the test Badgers fans' prevailing theory that Butch's absence is the main explanation for their somewhat mediocre play for the last few weeks. REALLY? This has got to seem unbelievable for anyone who saw that dislocation/injury occur. Truly ugly -- Butch went up for a block, collided with a teammate in midair and fell hard to the ground. He tried to cushion the would-be blow to his tailbone by putting his hands out, but his right arm buckled, and you could see his elbow joint burst six inches out of place. I hear something similar happened in the Flu v. Mich. St. game. I also remember some NBA player's knee doing the same thing about two weeks ago. If Butch is back, Wisco better put away the excuses for the first two rounds. Doesn't really matter beyond that, though. They'll go down to ND or Oregon in the Sweet 16.

Colin Falls flops over so much I wonder if he routinely trips over curbs, steps, and cracks in sidewalks in real life.

Notre Dame is an embarrassment right now, down 18 to Winthrop with 14 minutes left. For the sake of the BE, I want them to turn this around.
Also, Go Texas A&M CC!!!

Notre Dame making me worry a lot more about the quality of the Big East. Leave it to Mike Brey to ruin everything.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin in deep trouble early. 3 of 20 from the floor to start, down 21-7. Considering TAMU-CC has never been in the tourney before, a miracle here would probably be the biggest upset in NCAA history.
