Mods, OK to have this here?
I don't want to have to switch back & forth between boards just to shout "GO DAVIDSON!!!!!"
As for the other noon-ish game, I guess I'm rooting for a fight and multiple suspensions (not that I think it's necessary, but why not?)

if we win, i think i'd rather play Texas Tech. BC stinks, but getting there means they'll at least have turned things around slightly, and i'd rather not play a confident team that at one point in the season wasn't terrible.

also, a Louisville drubbing of Stanford might be a scene of an underrated Big East and an overrated Pac 10.

Looks like you'll get your wish, Dog, L-ville is up 41-16 in the first half. Stanford looks painfully slow and turns the ball over constantly.

>>also, a Louisville drubbing of Stanford might be a scene of an underrated Big East and an overrated Pac 10. So happy with this I think Louisville is one of the BE teams that will be able to go deep in the tourney if things go their way. Also I don't hate them (I despise Nova, because I'm from Philly) so I'm okay with seeing them win. I think I had them losing to us in the Final Four in one of my brackets... how good would THAT be for the Big East? Also can Maryland be upset? Please? Please? BC/Texas Tech - I want to play BC. Because. Just because. In part because I want to beat an (overrated) ACC team.

In Dougie Gottlieb's anti-BE zeal, he picked Stanford as a possible upset. Good call so far Dougie...
Edit - but I won't hop on the anti-PAC 10 bandwagon since I picked Oregon for the Final Four. I know, crazy...

Yeah, Louisville has your #6 seed right here.
C'mon Davidson. I didn't pick you in my bracket, but who cares. Send the sweaty one packing early and don't let him stay in Buffalo. I don't want anymore picture of Gary and buffalo wings and coeds.

I know, crazy... You're not the only one who's crazy. I think it may have been because I didn't see a single "expert" not pick Florida to go to the Final Four. Big red flag for me there. I think Louisville will have their hands full with A&M, but I picked them in that game too because they're playing at home, essentially.

Stanford is not really doing a lot to prove its detractors wrong. Apparently a PAC 10 team with 12 losses doesn't belong in the tournament. Weird.

You've got to love the big east at this point in the season. I would even cheer for Cuse if they were in it. The Ville is looking like world beaters right now and if the really close seeds 8/9 Nova & Marquette win, that bodes very well for the conference since those are basically pick 'em games against the SEC & Big ten.

I can't believe that anyone would pick an Ernie Kent-coached team to do great things in the NCAA tournament. If you were looking for a Florida alternative, it probably should have been Georgia Tech, Wisconsin (every is ragging on them after all), or even Notre Dame. I have no guts, hence I picked Florida every time. Is no one watching this BC-TTU game? I'd love to hear some scouting reports...just in case we win later.

I am watching the BC-TT game but I am not going to tell you since you just make fun of my Enrie Kent pick. ;D
These teams are not exactly playing lockdown defense here. From what I have seen (second half only), it is just run and drive right through the middle.
Edit -- BC seems to be having its way in the paint, but TT is getting wide open looks from 3 right now. 58-44 TT up with 12+ mins to go.

Stephen Curry is my new favorite non-Hoya. How did this kid end up at Davidson?

I'm watching it on MMOD, which may be the coolest thing I have ever seen.
Not a lot of defense being played in the TT/BC game. Early on both teams were terrible. The score was something like 3-2 at the 15 minute mark.

Not a lot of defense being played in the TT/BC game. We definitely agree on that. Refs are sure letting them play - lots of contact with no fouls called (of course, they just called a foul on BC). TT has no answer in the paint for BC, but they are keeping it close.

Id rather see TT. They look unbelievably small compared to BC even without Williams.
