On cold pizza today during one of their "1st and 10" segments it was said that jeff is not only overated, but he was not a top 10 pick.
Wow!!!!
The person claimed that he is receiving east coast bias

GAR-BAGE.
Jeff will let his play speak for itself during the NCAAs.

don't even justify the ridiculousness of these statements by discussing them

Not a top 10 pick? That's probably true.
Overrated via some sort of east coast bias? These people obviously haven't seen many Hoya games. More complete player than any of these so-called superstars.
On the other hand, JEFF!!! YOU STINK!!! AWFUL!!! YOU DEFINITELY NEED ONE MORE YEAR OF COLLEGE SEASONING!!!

Yeah, the issue of being a top-ten pick is totally different than is he a very good college player (as well as a good NBA prospect).

Them proclaiming Jeff overrated is the same thing as knowledgeable people saying his is good. It's a good thing.

Great college player, but does he have the ball-handling, outside shot and defensive abilities to play the 3-spot in the NBA? Probably but maybe not. Is to he too small to be a power forward in the NBA? Almost definitely. Best comparison is Shane Battier in my opinion - great all-around player that can fit in well somewhere but unlikely to dominate in the NBA and therefore not the best use of a top-10 pick, but definitely first-round worthy.

I agree that his ball-handling and defense may hold him back at the SF spot, but outside shooting? Really? Shooting over 40% isn't good enough? As for the PF position, sure I guess he is slightly undersized for the classic PF in the NBA, (he is roughly 6'10" mind you, so it ain't by much) but he is definitely fast enough to keep up with anyone at that spot, has the agility to guard smaller players and has the right frame to allow for him to pack on a lot more muscle in the future.

Good points, Cambridge. I think he just needs to find the right fit. I could see him wasting away on some teams and shining on others.

I don't even agree that he is overrated.
His play has earned him first team all conference honors ONE year, he wasn't on the midseason Wooden award watch list nor is he on the end of year Wooden watch list. Sure, some people probably started noticing him after he earned BE POY but how does that make someone overrated?
He's actually earning awards based on his play. How does that make someone 'overrated'?

That could only have been said by Skip Bayless.
This, of course, is Exhibit A why Cold Pizza is essentially being cancelled.

You know who had great ball handling? Drew Hall.

i've already got talking head over load. allegedly jeff wasn't a worthy Big East POY because he didn't put up huge numbers like russell carter and demetrius nichols. then he went to the BET and led Georgetown to the title by averaging 21 plus points per game including a 30 pt outburst and game winning shot vs. notre dame. still somehow green is overrated because of an "east coast" bias. jeff only recently started getting national repsect and it's been a long time coming. these people have no idea what they are talking about and i don't really care to listen anymore i care about the next game and the (hopefully) five that come after it. go hoyas!!

I agree. Other things that are overrated:
sliced bread, the polio vaccine, the wheel, penicillin, sex, personal computers, fire, the lightbulb, the telephone, indoor plumbing, oxygen.
(and why is it that I placed penicillin right next to sex?)

We've got work to do starting tomorrow--this stuff can wait until after the NCAA's.
LMAO at the post right above this--on what else is "overrated" and placement of penicilin next to sex. Classic. ;D

green is arguably the best player on the east coast.
and that includes the nba's atlantic division.
casually.
