Jeff's play in the last 10 games or so has been nothing short of phenomenal and, with apologies to Acie Law, as good as any player in the country not named Kevin Durant.
The Battier comparison is a good one, though Shane is the better defender and has the better long-range jumper, Jeff the better slashing and passing. My analog would be Grant Hill - a graceful athlete who does a little bit of everything and makes it look easy.

Has anyone ever watched Shane Battier make a move and then said "Damn that's smooth"?
I don't get this comparison.

OK. How about a Lamar Odom comparison?

Every time I see one of his smooth jump hooks or 15 footers off the dribble I say "Wow, that's an NBDL move if I've ever seen one."
One more year! One more year!

I agree. Other things that are overrated: sliced bread, the polio vaccine, the wheel, penicillin, sex, personal computers, fire, the lightbulb, the telephone, indoor plumbing, oxygen. (and why is it that I placed penicillin right next to sex?) Actually you placed sex between penicillin and personal computers ...

They're similar on some levels, but Pippen was a much better perimeter defender and could handle the ball a bit better. No one read more passing lanes and stripped more guards on the wing than Pipp. He had freakishly long arms - wingspan of 7'3" - which enabled him to play such good D outside.
