I see our game is one of four CBS is showing at noon on Saturday, with the others being Kansas/Texas, MSU/Wisconsin, and Illinois/Iowa. www.sportsline.com/tvlistings/20070303I have not seen a distribution map breaking down which regions of the country will get which game, but I expect those of us who live outside of the Northeast are in for bad news. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I also believe that DirectTV (either at home or in a bar) is of no use in this situation, as it would not make all of the games available everywhere. Damn.

I live in NYC.. I hope they show the game, if they don't show it here I don't know where they would be showing it outside of DC/MD..
I wouldn't be shocked if they go with Kansas/Texas though, I've seen CBS make a wide variation of decisions with their "regional" action games

I would guess that you would be OK in Atlanta since there is no ACC or SEC game in the mix, but you should probably call your local affiliate. However, as a fallback, I believe Direct TV makes all of the games available.

The link above appears to be for CBS-HD channels. The "regular" CBS listings show only two games, GU/UConn and Kansas/Texas. sportsline.com/cbssports/schedules/page/collegebasketballOf course, I know which game I'll be getting...

More research: The local Atlanta affiliate is showing Texas/Kansas. But the DirecTV guide shows our game as the one on the CBS-East feed (channel 80). www.directv.com/DTVAPP/epg/theGuide.jsp?d=62&h=12&tz=e&z=30092&fl=_d&x=11&y=6For you DirecTV experts out there, does this mean that bars with DirecTV can show the out-of-market game (i.e., ours)? I thought there was some issue with this, but I could be wrong.

DirecTV has the not-locally-shown split national feed on 618 or 619. Don't know if this is available for all subcription levels but it is with the top sports package. Don't know how they will allocate these 4 games on these channels.

DirecTV guide lists Hoyas on Channel 617 (using my home zipcode in Texas). Don't know if this is the same everywhere. Go to DirecTV, Select listings, put in you zip and the date & time and check channels 617 to 619. Luckily, I won't have to worry as I leave tomorrow for DC.

I've emailed our game-watch bar to confirm that it will work. I leave Friday for DC, but I want to make sure those who aren't heading out can watch.

Just called Direct TV and they told me that as long as you still get your "local" channels you won't be able to watch it on 617

i ran into this problem with CBS in January when I was trying to watch a Kansas game in DC and the local feed was showing another game. The bar was on the phone with directv the entire first half and directv pretty much told them that the game was supposed to appear on those 600 level channels but it was up to CBS to put it there and that they usually do not, screwing everyone who wanted watch the alternate game.
I dont know about the CBS East and West but that was not even discussed when I had this problem in January, making me think that all the bars who use directv get the local channels thus not getting that feed.
just an experience that i have had.

I'm going to be in Indiana Saturday and it appears they are going to be showing the Kansas-Texas Game on CBS... is there any alternative to CSTV and their ridiculous $9.95 for one game?

Usually if you call ahead, a bar can show both CBS games at once. At least this is the case in New York because a few weeks ago they had 2 CBS games on simutaneously while GU was playing I believe Marquette.

I guess I won't have a chance to jinx the Hoyas as apparently I won't be seeing the game live.
