What is the deal with several Georgetown players wearing T-Shirts under their jersey? Roy Hibbert probably does it because Patrick Ewing did it but it looks bad today. Jeremiah Rivers also wears one but for no apparent reason.
Personally, I think you shouldn't be allowed to wear anything under your jersey except for a sleeveless shirt.

Corey Brewer does it too -- there is a little cult of basketball players who do this..
personally, I don't know why - it looks quite ugly and it cannot be comfortable (even when I wear t-shirts under jerseys to go out to a bar it doesn't feel amazingly comfortable - I definitely wouldn't want to do it while playing a game, especially the baggy ass ones that these guys are wearing)..
this should be discussed on page 2 uni-watch (I think it was touched on once or twice in the past)

I'm all for not questioning people's wardrobe in sports. There's an NBA fad of wearing freaking ballerina tights to play basketball. I wouldn't do that, but apparently certain players enjoy it. Whatever helps them be more comfy out there on the court...

Does anyone else remember when Mike Gansey wore 3 t-shirts under his jersey against Georgetown? From where I sat, he looked like he was wearing a wife beater, a t-shirt, and a cut-off t-shirt over that, with his jersey on top of everything.
I can't find any visual evidence of this on the internets, so maybe it was a one-time thing, or maybe my eyes were deceiving me, but I am convinced that he was wearing four shirts (including the jersey).

This is by far the most ridiculous discussion I have ever seen. We control our own destiny and have a HUGE game on Saturday. Why is this relevant? Why don't we discuss DaJuan's 'stache or the fact that Rivers hair is out of control.

It actually didn't require X-Ray vision. You see, Bubbrubb, Gansey was wearing a wife beater under everything - those things are typically visible through the neck hole of a typical t-shirt. Directly on top of the wife beater was a t-shirt. On top of the t-shirt, Gansey wore a sleeveless shirt which was a slightly different color than the t-shirt.
Therefore, even though Gansey was wearing a jersey, I could see the neck-line of the wife beater, the sleeves of the t-shirt and the shoulders of the sleeveless shirt.

I wish Roy would do away with his t shirt, he looked so much more intimidating on the cover of SI without it.

Then most of you would be shocked to know that a lot of players wear an extra pair of shorts under their game shorts. It's just whatever makes players feel comfortable. Some guys take showers before a game, some do it at halftime. Some have rituals on how to put their jersey on--whatever makes a player feel more comfortable and allows them to perform better, I'm all for and thank goodness we have that happening instead of someone deciding to wear bikini briefs or "cutoff shorts" during a game--although if that trend does occur, I'll say it happens at Duke.
