Lunardi moved us to a "lock", and has us as a 4 in bracketology. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/indexHe's got un playing in Winston-Salem, with possible rematches with Florida in the sweet 16.

has anybody seen a bracket that has the hoyas and gators in different regionals?
im not scared about the possible matchup but it would be a shame if the two best teams are forced to play in sweet 16 for the second straight year...

Woo hoo! Lunardi says were in....I can sleep again ;D
Who cares. We'll see how this plays out. One goal at a time.
First let's beat Villanova to get revenge.
Then we win the BE regular season title (while beating Pitt to get revenge)
Then we win the BE Tournament title (just to make up for last year's brutal loss)
Then we roll through Florida for payback from last year and win the whole damn thing...
Pretty simple

You guys are my top pick to upset the gators. you gave them the best game last year in the tourney. the only real close game.
I still think if that final possession three ball falls for you guys in the Sweet 16, Nova is playing in the national championship. Florida wasn't a good match up for Nova.

Can you go back to where someone gives a rat's ass what you think?
You've gone from a novelty to really annoying, really quickly.
Do you have a cousin named hifigator?

Your team couldn't even win the Big East Championship last year and now you claim that if you had faced us in Minnesota you would have beat us and then George Mason? Your team had no inside presence. It is no wonder that Florida destroyed you (and we would have destroyed you too- don't be fooled by your win during the regular season, we were a different team in the NCAA's). I hope you keep posting because the more flames you throw, the sweeter it will be for me to watch the thrashing of your team on Saturday. It is no wonder you can't spell Villanova without "Villan"

yes, it is my belief that if Owens knocks down that 3 pointer, Nova defeats G-Town. Probably by double digits, just like the previous two meetings between those teams. Not an insult on your team, but if you thought Hibbert had trouble getting off shots a month ago, I think it would have been even more difficult with Randy, Kyle and Allan harrassing your back court.
Amazing how I give you a compliment that your team would be my top choice for schools that could beat Florida, and you harp on the comment I made that most people would agree with (that Nova's 2006 team would have defeated G-Town's 2006 team).
HoyaNyr, how sweet was that thrashing when Nova visited your place a month ago?

Catfight.
Elvado, you might as well not post on this board anymore, since you're getting ignored by ncaaball2. I know I make all of my posts with him and all of the other non-Hoya fans in mind.
On the bright side ncaaball2, that was a great backhanded compliment. One for the ages.

ncaaa, just to clarify...it's not a compliment if its backhanded.
If you are interested, here's a prime example of a compliment:
"Villanova is the Jessie Spano of the Big East."
Now, don't you have some lines to blow before your 2PM shift at Camelots?

HoyaNyr, how sweet was that thrashing when Nova visited your place a month ago? If losing by 4 is a "thrashing", what do you call DePaul beating you by 8 in your house? What about losing to Drexel of all people? You'd better pray you win this week, 'cause you headed for the NIT until you can pull out 9 conference wins. By the time you visit UConn, I'll have a hard time figuring out who to root for - Nova to make the NIT, or UConn to miss the BET. I'll go to my default - praying for a scoreless tie in which everyone gets hurt.

If there is one thing I regret about the 2006 tournament, it is that Owens' shot didn't fall.
Consider that a backhanded compliment if you are insecure, but I know I am not alone in that belief. That shot falls, Nova is in the finals against UCLA.
That is not an insult towards your team. Nova beat you guys pretty bad that year, and they worked G-Town the previous year in DC. G-Town won the first match of the 2005 season, in a game where Nova led by as many as 13 and didn't trail until about 4 minutes left in the game (and I think Nova learned their lesson from that second half, similar to if you guys roll us this Saturday you will have demonstrated that your team learned their lesson from last month's game).

Honestly, where is Frank Black?
Look, ncaaball2, it's not that we don't like you. Well, we don't, but it's really more that we don't care. I think Jay Wright is a great basketball coach and there is no question Villanova has a proud and storied basketball history.
But this year, VILLANOVA IS IRRELEVANT.
NOW GO AWAY.
At least Hifigator has a decent basketball team to watch after his day job of Hoyatalk troll is over.

Go away and stop channeling hifigator. After Saturday, you and the rest of the wait-listed Safety schoolers can rehash past glory with Sniffles McLain.

colorado, if you consider your next opponent irrelevant, congrats.
by the way, nova is sitting with the #13 RPI and have beat you guys once already this year. not exactly my definition of irrelevant.
