So which game will feature the Ballroom Dancing folks at halftime? I'm hoping for a little Marshall Tucker Band this year :-P.

Ok, so looking at the schedule I see 4 big road trip opportunities:
@ Villa on Saturday 2-17
@ St John THURSDAY 2-1
@ The Hall Friday 1-19
@ Pitt Saturday 1-13
The schedule could be better but it was made for road trips it appears. Pitt plays at Peterson which holds 12,500...anyone know how easy/hard it is to get tickets? If we could get 300 to Navy... I bet we can get a looooooooooot of students to some of these games.
Cuse on a monday...ouch major ouch.

Wow, some bummers in there for the students -- couple games during winter break, Uconn game at the start of spring break. More work for you HB guys!
It is a tough 5-game stretch to end the BE season, but better to get those tough games at the end, when the line-up will be settled, the younger guys more seasoned and (hopefully) the team chemistry flowing.
Let's go with the positive: the Hoyas are back -- look at all of that TV exposure!

And Hall should be easy to get tickets for, so that's a given. Pitt's place is aptly nicknamed "The Zoo". For a game as huge as that one tickets will be hard to come by. Maybe something small scale though.

To answer the question about Pitt, from everything I've heard (and like half the gf's HS went to Pitt it seems): HARD. There probably should be some kind of modifier in front of HARD too. That goes for students at Pitt too apparently. Good way to gauge it would be to ask anyone on the board who went to the game at the beginning of the 04-05 conference season. But my guess is that once you get through the GU alottment that would go to families/alums who make more than me* there won't be much left. Of course isn't this one of the reason theEDGEfactor's on the board? To answer these questions? ;D I do like the Nova and Seton Hall times however, the latter seems to have been put together for our benefit/comic effect. (*This is virtually all of them, but I hope you get my meaning)

OK, so there is a problem for the Nova game on the 8th. Currently, housing is planning to open the dorms at 12 noon on the 9th. That stinks. I suggest a massive, coordinated lobbying effort to get the dorms opened now later than 3pm on the 8th. Game isn't till 8pm, so 3pm should be early enough.

I've had no particularly good excuse for not having been to a game at 'Cuse (except the few that I've contemplated have all been pushed onto Big Monday), but Ann Arbor looks like the perfect road trip from Toronto. 5 hours, Saturday game over the hols, perfect.
Does anyone have any idea about UM's ticket policy? Assuming the kids won't show up in big numbers, can one get better seats than walk-up nosebleeds? How big IS the arena?
Time for me to get some research done...

Time for me to get some research done... Crisler is big. I would guess in the teens somewhere in attendance. The couple games I went to I got from student tickets but over the break, while they have a huge local element, there will definitely be walk-up seats available - there really are no nosebleeds there - think MSG

Looking at the start time and date of the road game at Pitt, I'm guessing we'll be taking part in Hoyas first "ESPN Gameday" opportunity. It's great exposure for the programs participating in it and really focuses on the teams involved. Nice step for the program and now the goal is to get one to the Hilltop.

Three of eight BE home games occur with the students on break. think that would happen at McDonough-John Thompson, Jr Convocation Center? Yes. It happens to everyone- someone has to play at those times. Tough luck. Two of the games are doable if students want to make the effort (assuming something can be worked out w/ dorms for Villanova).

I can only hope this doesn't put me "on notice."

ODU is at McDonough? Sweeeeeeet. That place is going to be crazy against a real opponent (not a 300 rpi one).
And a battle of the Thompson boys!
I'm pretty pumped now!
