TERRIBLE DEFENSE and guys look as if they are in the "park"--this is going to be a LONG DAY. Credit to UNI, they are here to play and Hoyas look as if they might want to game to start a bit later so their "nap" can wear off--I don't understand this team but then again, I don't know if I ever want to understand the lack of intensity that seems to rule over this team at beginning of games.

If Bowman is going to be afraid to take a wide open 20 ft 3 and then take a 23 ft 3--we've got issues.
BTW, why does it seem that EVERY damn game we have the pace/game taken to us?? Does this team understand you have to come out and play a complete game?
Just think you get what you ask for and this team is not only not very good--(supported even more by how awful the Big East outside of Uconn and Nova) but it's led by people who just don't understand urgency.

If we don't learn how to beat a zone sometime soon, this is going to get real ugly.

Len Elmore is usually a good announcer, but this BS that No. Iowa is dictating pace is bunk. We play even slower than they do - BOTH TEAMS PLAY A SLOWDOWN PACE. They're just executing better than us right now. Lot of ballgame left, so quit the crying around here.
Bunch of freaking reactionary babies around here.

All I have to say--is this team is a team who can SPOT up and NAIL SHOTS--and do you think Little likes that deep corner shot? Maybe we will guard him sometime this year?
I hate our offensive approach--I'm sorry--it's too friggin PASSIVE. And why Jon Wallace isn't out there with Sapp and Ashanti on bench I'll never know--Cook takes a contested 19 ft fadeaway with clock running down and he could've dropped it to Jeff for an open look where Green is a good 3 pt shooter.
Bowman is going soft, Roy looks slow, stiff, and scared, and the team is playing the "Style" that gets your ass beat in NCAA play or any game against a good team.
But that's what we are now--God I hope not, but it seems to be the trait of this style of play.

Our defense has been awful.
I'm hoping the hard foul on Jeff Green's drive to the basket, will wake him up. I think he could take over this game if he becomes more aggressive/assertive.

It's practically a career game for Little so far. But then again, our offense and defense both seem so out of sync. Plenty of time to go in this one. I'm just hoping they can ride it out to the half and make the right adjustments at halftime and come out swinging.

Hey RDF - Shut up. You're like the loudmouth at the sports bar who everyone wishes would stop screaming.
I realize this is your schtick, but if you're going to have a coronary on every change of possesion, keep them to yourself.

Thank You Tyler Crawford--he didn't hesitate and took a good shot--you can't be afraid to take a shot and it was a good shot--he's not a great shooter but that's basketball. Elmore keeps talking of UNI being deliberate, I see them taking open shots when they are there--and we are SLOWING THEM down.

It seems that Tyler Crawford has passed Egerson on the depth chart. I think this is the 3rd game in a row where Tyler has taken Egerson's minutes.

Unfortunately, I don't see Roy drop step and dunking on anyone....but there is a first time for everything. You just got your wish with about 30 seconds left in the half. RDF - beg to disagree, but Roy has been the most aggressive of the big men this half. Hoyas need to tighten up the defense. Time for halftime adjustments.

Forget zone. We have to play some good man defense against this team. Owens should be sitting because he's awful when it comes to covering the perimeter. We should also milk Roy as much as we can. We've been considerably better when he's in the game.
