Mike and the Mad Dog on WFAN in NYC are already reveling in the failure of the first three Big East teams. It will be interesting to hear their reaction this afternoon when we patiently execute the motion offense to beat Northern Iowa.

HI Guys!!
I am really, really worried about this game. I watched Witchita State demolish Seton Hall yesterday. Well this UNI team beat the shockers, not once, but twice. We should win, but this is going to be tough!!!

Always with the negative waves Moriarty, always with the negative waves. Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is at the Dance? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
LET'S @#$%#$%# GO HOYAS!!!
Time for the real Big East to make it's mark on this sucker!
(i'm a little bit excited)

Its time for JTIII's leagacy to really grow with us Hoya fans. We've definitely seen a turnaround in the past couple years but its time to execute when the nation is watching in the big stage. I feel total faith that we should be prepared for today. Seniors, make us proud! Just win baby!!

Is therer anybody like me--someone so nervous about a Hoya game that they never really enjoy it? I'm so caught up in wanting to win that I don't take time to enjoy the game itself.

Yeah, I am exactly the same way. I get stomach aches even when the Hoyas are winning. That may have do with they way we close games.... This is one guy who hopes we come out like we did against Cincy/SJU and just put the foot to the throat immediatly. I really want GU to make a statement in front of the nation that WE ARE BACK (see Duke game). We need to come out and immediatly dominate. I expect Hibbert to get the ball on the first posession and drop step dunk on that short center for UNI.

Thank you--glad to know that I'm not the only one like that. As a person with atrial fibrillation, I was even told by my doctor that I had to stop watching for a while. Too much devotion, I guess.
It will be good to get an early lead so that the NIU coach needs to call a timeout prior to the media time out.

Please forgive me, Hoya50. for my obvious stupidity. Forgive me for my arrogant supposition about an early lead.

I think its true with any die hard fan...almost feels like I'm getting ready to play. I think the wife has 911 on speed dial just in case I go into a spasm sometime during the game. Anyways I'm from omaha and have been a Hoyas fan for about 18 years now and It's been along time coming for us to get back to a little national recognition. I think JT3 has been doing an awesome job not only on in coaching but also recruiting. As far as UNI goes, I'm hoping we put a smack down on them. I don't wanna be hearing from these dumb a$$ Creighton Omaha fans how tough the MVC is. I expect the Hoyas to be making a statement for the Big East. Also I've only been able to be a Hoyas Fan from TV distance away so i'm hoping Minneapolis might be in the future also...If it is I'm so there...and will be ready to Party. GO HOYAS!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I don't see Roy drop step and dunking on anyone....but there is a first time for everything. A drop step baby hook would be just as nice in my opinion.
I get the feeling this would be the perfect team to try some full court pressure against. I know that's not exactly our bread & butter, but I think we have the athletes for it to be effective and it throw NI off their game a little.
Go hoyas....let's put everyone on notice today!

During my pre-game rituals, it's pretty clear that Nodak summed up today best with:
"Thanks for the joy you've given me... With Jeff & Big Roy & JT III, I know that one day, N-C-A-A."
The day we've waited for for so long, that day my friends, is today. This team has already made us proud this season, but they'll take that feeling to a whole new level today.
We are Georgetown. Fear is back.

What is it with Hoyas and leaving 3pt shooting teams or shooters wide the BLEEP open? All you have to do against this team is make them constantly put the ball on the floor and shoot two point shots.
Offensively, we've come out and gotten good shots, so can't complain there--just need to knock them down.
Would like to know why any touch of a player of there's is a foul, but you have to play through it.
