How inconsistent is Cook? Barely plays in the 2nd half. Hits a big three, makes a turnover on a horrible pass to Jeff Green, and then hits a J as the shot clock is expiring.

I hope we learned from some of our previous losses this year (i.e the Syracuse game) and don't get too conservation down the stretch.

Stout is gonna get his ass kicked...He's been getting away with this all game...I hope Jeff can keep his cool and keep his head in the game, doesn't need to be taking three.

No idea why Len Elmore was calling for us to hold the ball another 10 seconds. There are 3 minutes to go! You can't hold it forever. Still have to take open shots. They won't miss forever.

NIU is playing terrible, can't hit a shot to save their life. We should be up by more than 6 points with 2 minutes left. Offense is not flowing really well when Roy isn't in.

That a boy Jeff---now transfer that over to the court. Nice to see some INTENSITY and FIGHT though. Stoudt is just a good, tough nosed player who knows how to use those "Vet" tricks in post--holding, grabbing, etc... but Refs have let it be that way on both ends for BOTH teams--so it's not a matter of bad officiating--matter of playing through it and learning how to play through it.
Now can some of you guys see why I was IRATE over the First Half--if you make these guys go off the bounce, they are a marginal team. I am not saying they can't win this game--but to do so, they'll have to hit tough shots--but for the love of all things REBOUNDING--Ashanti's got to have that loose ball.
Jessie's a good FT shooter too--need to get him on court again.

Hoya95 I agree with you completely. We can get too conservative. We lost the Syracuse game by playing not to lose.

Nice look by Sapp to find Bowman for the dunk!!! Through the pressure no less. Sapp is a stud! Does all the right things!

Get the ball to Jessie Sapp--he'll know what to do with it and he'll nail his FT's!
MVP of this game for GU.
UNI "style" of play is what is ruining CBB--they hoist up 3's and have no clue how to play basketball--if they have to dribble, they can't score.

One good reason we made our free throws in the last minute is that the right guy got the ball: Ashanti Cook. For future reference (and I really hope there is one this year), only Cook, Wallace and Owens should really touch the ball in those situations.

And Sapp--I'd rather score on dunks/layups and move ball then get fouled and let clock stop.
