Epps hot and going into hero mode - beware! Fool’s gold pretty much every time. Your bias is showing. He has played very good D thus far and just had a sweet assist to Fielder on the break after his steal.

Very poor scout by St. John’s, apparently Pitino didn’t get the memo to force Epps to his left.
Like seeing the minutes for Fielder, showing some things to be optimistic about heading into next season.

The Future is Fielder.

Nothing more rally stopping than Massoud bricking an open 3. Nice hustle by his teammates to maintain possession.

I'm liking Fielder more and more. I like his hustle, good ball IQ, really nice passing, boxes out well, and can shoot. I'd really want to see him as a stretch player as he can shoot outside and slash to the bucket. Similar game to Sorber who is coming next year. Pairing them could be trouble for opponents.

Epps can't do anyting to stop Jenkins (but Bristol, Heath, and Rowan can).

Fielder, Sorber, Cook, McKenna, Williams, Styles; good looking front court in 24-25 and on

That sandwich looks unbelievably good. May need to run to Stackowski's after the game.

Every minute this stays close, the tighter the collar for St. John’s.

Epps had Heath as an outlet, but Epps isn't a point guard so didn't even look.

Not getting any whistles on the offensive end.

RB does look sluggish: ill? I don't think so - he's not quick enough to handle the SJ guards.

5 point swing by Epps at end of half…St. John’s finally forced him left and he takes a terrible shot, then brutal on-ball defense on Alleyne giving up an open 3.

RB does look sluggish: ill? Just looks overmatched by quicker, stronger, older St John's guards. It's exactly why we need a PG for next season. I have faith in RBs growth- but he's not ready to be a BE starting PG

Not the best end of the half but proud of the guys for not giving up and making this a game. Hopefully Rowan can settle down and contribute some in the second half. Epps needs to relax, I know he thinks he needs to do it all but if we can get ball movement there will be open shots. St.J's over pursues everything (which allows them to get deflections and blocks if you don't make the extra pass). Keep playing Fielder, anything that he gives up against Soriano on D, he makes up on O and he'll get some open 3s as people get tired. Heath is having a solid game but don't try to do too much. It would help to have Styles get it going on O but I think that will only come from making the extra pass and getting him space.
