Great first half FT defense by the Hoyas!

If only his coach was allowed to design some plays that got him some set shots. That's been one of the things I've thought we could do better. We don't seem to play to Ish's strength, which, to me, is a flaw in the offense. Ish’s strength, apparently, is negotiation…

If Ish was a consistent 3 shooter, that would be great. Ish is insanely streaky, pretty much what he's been his career from what I can tell. So then why are we paying him $300K? "Mistakes were made." - R. Reagan

Creighton three point shooting:
Scheierman 0-6 Rest of team: 10-15
Georgetown shooting 26 percent from two point range.

1 assist. This offense is tough to watch. So is the defense!

Hoyas have 2 assists compared to 14. One of these teams understand what "team" means.

Complete inability to execute any competent on ball defense on Creighton’s 3 point shooters. Maybe Heath does it in practice but haven’t seen it at all in this game. He’s just the most obvious but not much resistance from sny of the others. Virtually no competent help defense off screens either.

If Massoud isn't shooting and hitting threes, he shouldn't be in.

I watched Sorber in his game against Roman. It seems his basketball IQ exceeds that of guys who've played years of college ball. Go figure.

Creighton three point shooting: Scheierman 0-6 Rest of team: 10-15 Georgetown shooting 26 percent from two point range. Hoyas are 4 for 14 with layups. I know quite a few programs where the saying is "layups go in" and missing layups in games in 10 suicides in practice for each miss.

I am not trying to be sarcastic but is there something intrinsically wrong with the University that we are in this situation? We hired a new coach and have all of the same problems....I am sure I will be told it is early and Cooley needs time. But, the way these players play is nothing like the way Cooley teams have played in the past. In other words, the team has the identity of the University not of the perceived identity of the coaches prior teams. I know the underlying cause of all this is DeGioia but can we overcome this while he is still the president?

EC needs to be done with Heath and Massoud. Just play Rowan and Drew and live with it. Who cares if we lose by 30 or 50.

But is there a culture that we are recruiting at the level we are. Which players on our team are starting or playing on other Big East teams.
