Ish giving his 3 point shooter too much room and he nails a 3.
Hands down man don.

Unfortunately, Cook is no threat at the top of the key. All he can do is set a screen. The roll part doesn't work too often, and he has almost no ability to shoot it or attack the basket. He's a long way from Henry Sims.

On replay followed his man into the lane and hit a screen getting back out to his cover area. I was talking about the offensive possession when Rowan and Cook were running the PnR and attacking the basket. Then Massoud also collapses from the weak side bringing his defender and not giving Rowan an outlet. Also screwed up on D as you pointed out. Ah that! I really don't think Ish has had good coaching until now. So many basics missing. He's picking things up, but so many things to get down.

Please stop playing Massoud.

Starting Ish on the bench was a good call. Giving him so many minutes now has not been a good call. How do you let the guy draw a charge there...

Massoud a real force.
Turnover, shoddy defense and offensive foul. He is really doing it all.
Talk about ROI.

I really want to see Fielder in before Ish. Fielder helps things, I'm not sure that Ish does any longer (his 3s when going are helpful, but most other things are problematic).

It is time to start playing for the future. I would rather see 10 minutes each for Massoud and Heath and start playing anyone we think will be here next year.

So your view is that the worst of Massoud’s 5 college seasons is because of the coaching he got before this season? Wow.

If there was a stat for getting back on defense, Epps would be in the bottom 5% in the nation.
He’s obviously going to get his points tonight, but the guy is not a winning player. I hope the coaching staff figures that out before next season.

He would get occasional slash to the baskets but not in the Big East. Pretty much a complete mess on offensive spacing until the last 6 games or so. Defensively he is continually not where he should be and not knowning what his cover can do and gets cooked.

I don't know that Epps has PnR in his toolbag. Rowan runs it, but not an Epps thing. Bristol has also hit Cook on the roll. The problem is that he can't do anything with it. Cook doesn't have great hands (good, but not great) and problematic when undersized in the middle. But, PnR is used when you have mismatch and there are a lot of those situations and they don't get executed. That is on Epps not Cook.
