Just excited for the season to start. A competitive team lifts my energy and spirits….makes it fun again to talk about gtown. I’m all in on Cooley….though I was all in on Ewing at first too, and JTIIII early as well. Just hoping we got a good one for next 5+ years Please don't act like JT3 and Ewing can be mentioned in the same coaching sentence. Young John put us back on the map, took us to a FF and was competitive at the top of the league every season. Pat...well, he's the best player in the history of the program by a wide margin...and he was considerably worse as a coach than he was great as a player. I still can't wrap my head around that, and it's not really arguable. As far as I'm concerned, his shameless act over the past two seasons makes him the Voldemort of Hoyas.

I appreciate this is a laughably low bar, but looking for two things tonight: 1. A team that plays hard and hustles 2. A team that enjoys playing basketball with each other and shares the ball It was evident from opening night last year that these two things were not present. Hopefully we never see that type of basketball again. Hoya Saxa It may feel like a low bar, but it is a far better indicator of long term success than nearly anything else we could see.

Sweet 16 and Final Four? That'd put us back on the map.

Any info out there on the starting lineup? Brumbaugh Epps Styles Fielder Cook A very young lineup to start other than Cook. Again, I think this year more than ever the starters really don't matter--at least not for a while until we find out whether certain guys are significant better than others. Our roster isn't deep, so everyone will play.

Three poor passes by Epps already. He can score, but passing doesn't seem to be a strength so far.

LeMoyne wouldn't win the WCAC and I am not one that thinks Bama could beat a NFL team. This team is worse than I thought and I had very low expectations.

Easing into the season. I like what I see so far. I realize the competition is limited.

Refreshing to watch a team play connected defense and run with a purpose and spacing.

Rather liking what Styles brings. Can we keep him? Too quick with the threes for my liking but I'm chalking it up to 1st game jitters
