It was fun to watch some HS basketball.
Sorber is a very athletic and talented young man. He is lean and agile. His frame can easily support another 20-30 lbs without compromising that agility.
Very nice feel for the game and good hands.
Most of his blocks were weak side help and he totally cowed Prep away from their drive game.
Had a few nice passes and is confident with the ball.
Downsides:
Is a bit of a complainer on the Court. Spent a good piece of the game barking at officials. Hopefully he will grow out of this.
Side Note: His Mom was at the game and had a lot of fun playfully jousting with the Prep fans. Could be the next “Jeff Green’s Mom” character at GU.

I see why he was complaining. I know your son is involved with Prep but they were literally fouling the crap out of him everytime.

When the biggest guy on the Court Editedes and moans it is a bad look. Prep clearly fouled him a ton. He and his teammates gave as well as they got.

They were quadruple teaming and hacking him on every catch and alot of it didn't get called. The fact that you felt his teammates did it back has nothing to do with that. But like I said you son is involved with that team so I get it. Also a foul is a foul. Being the biggest kid doesn't mean you should just suck it up and take it. That's some old school mentality that is inane.

Ryan plays Neumann Goretti on Wednesday night at the Palestra.
Should be a fun matchup.

11 points, 15 boards, 6 blocks, and 4 assists in a 48-43 Final. That's bringing your lunch pale to work.

Roman/Ryan should be a great final. Harry will be broadcasting it I hope he's not applying to Syracuse for its broadcasting journalism major!
