Brian is an absolutely great guy. I went to Law school and studied for the bar with him. This is a tough pill to swallow. We are all praying for you Brian.

For those who don't know where Langston University is (I certainly did not) it's in Oklahoma and the only HBCU in the state... Good for him...you would think he would be completely physically dominating for their level of play...

NAIA is kind of weird. Sometimes the quality level is D-II or higher because they don't have the same scholarship restrictions. Sometimes not.

In some ways, Ighoefe fits what Georgetown needed: a one year backup that can give 5-10 mins a game to rest Fielder and Sorber. While he didn't develop under Ewing (and apparently, not at Cal-Baptist) he's no worse than what's left in the transfer portal. Sort of a seven footer from Belarus showing up on campus in the next few weeks, it appears that the staff is going to ride with two big men, hold the remaining scholarships for 2025, and take its chances.
Langston University is a NAIA school of 1,700 created by the Morrill Act of 1890, which created separate colleges for any state that would not guarantee black admissions at their land grant schools, an option adopted by 16 states (most, but not exclusively Southern, such as Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Ohio). Oklahoma was still not a state but founded the school for the small black population in the territory.

Love this. The glue of our ‘82 finalists. The one who chased Worthy down to give us our one last desperate chance. Well done Eric!!!

Reggie Cameron sighting. Just named to the Charlotte Hornets coaching staff--along with Kemba Walker and Zeke Chapman (Rex Chapman's son).

I liked Reggie a lot..... Smart guy (both in the classroom and on the court). Team player. Worked hard. Composed. It is hard to imagine, though, that he was ESPN's #63 player the year he came out of high school. #RANKINGSBEWARE.
Glad that he has carved out a career both on and off the court in the basketball world.

A very underappreciated member of the historic run.

I’m shocked he can’t find a consistent rotation spot given his output when playing

Yurt is a few years younger, more mobile and I think a great guy for any back end of a roster. I think he would have been a great fit for what they do.

Thanks for the fond memories, his 30 against ND in the BET semi-final game was legendary.
