"Rob Dockery is a 6-foot-7 small forward out of Washington (DC) Jackson-Reed HS that ranks as the No. 83 overall prospect in the 2024 class. He's a long and athletic slashing wing who can facilitate and create for others thanks to his passing ability and college coaches are in pursuit of his talents. Texas A&M, Mississippi State and LSU have been the schools in the most consistent pursuit, he told 247Sports, and he discussed each school at the Gonzaga DC Classic. LSU: "They have been texting me and I just got my phone back so we are getting back into rhythm." Mississippi State: "Their coaches have been in contact since the third session of adidas since last summer so I am just waiting to see what comes next." Texas A&M: "It's cool. I took an official visit. It was nice and I liked it. They're trying to build, build and build." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/2024-four-star-wing-Rob-Dockery-updates-his-high-major-recruitment-Texas-AM-LSU-Mississippi-State-200514785/"Rob Dockery, a four-star small forward in the 2024 class, has committed to Texas A&M... With Pat as our head coach, are we getting at least one of these top local recruits?

With Pat as our head coach, are we getting at least one of these top local recruits? Only if the recruits have serious off-court issues that no other programs want to touch. We’re not getting normal kids or kids that get good advice. We get kids who have no other options

“I have offers from Georgetown, Howard, George Mason, North Texas, Radford, and Bowie State right now,” Ngongba said. “I have visited Georgetown, George Washington, Maryland, and George Mason. Of the schools who haven’t offered, we hear from Maryland and George Washington a lot.” Georgetown: “From watching their practice, I saw how intense they were, how much they communicated.” Maryland: “I learned about their staff and their players. They value relationships a lot. They are getting a new coach there and all, so we will see what happens there.” www.on3.com/news/24-big-man-patrick-ngongba-ready-to-burst-onto-the-scene/

"Drew McKenna is the No. 78 player in the 2024 On3 Consensus. The 6-foot-8 forward is a late-blooming junior at Elliot City (MD) Glenleg Country whose skill and size have caught the eye of coaches across the country... “I’ve been on four unofficials to Butler, Virginia Tech, Maryland, and Georgetown,” McKenna said. “I have not started setting any officials yet. As of right now, I’m not talking to any other schools about visits yet.”... Georgetown: “What I liked about Georgetown is their community and family. The coaches are very close, and they worked together very well and shared one common goal of getting better. They treated me like family as soon as I arrived.” www.on3.com/news/drew-mckenna-dives-into-his-recruitment-georgetown-virginia-tech-butler-maryland/

"DeMatha Catholic is a known hotbed for talent throughout the years. This season, the featured player is a 6-foot-8 junior forward who is wildly explosive. Malcolm Thomas is also the son of former Syracuse center and NBAer Etan Thomas. Thomas is a lengthy forward. His ability to make plays across multiple positions was intriguing. He has quick feet able to guard the perimeter, and the length and pop enabled him as a weak side rim protector. Thomas is quiet about his recruitment, keeping things in-house, however, this one will be a high major battle. Thomas finished this game with 20 points, six rebounds, and a blocked shot." www.on3.com/news/darren-harris-nyk-lewis-shine-in-wcac-playoffs/

"DaQuan Davis ranks as the No. 87 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class and based on his performances from the summer and until now he should see his recruiting process really heat up... Several high majors have taken notice of Davis and while he has yet to schedule an official visit, it is expected his recruitment will heat up based on his play... Some of the schools he has been hearing from lately include Penn State, George Washington, Maryland, Butler, Mississippi State and Illinois, he told 247Sports." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/2024-4-star-PG-DaQuan-Davis-talks-high-major-recruitment-200344467/The clutch gene "When the game was on the line, Washington (DC) St. John’s College point guard Daquan Davis had the ball in his hands. Not only did he have the ball, but he also wanted the ball. The 6-foot-0 junior has a dynamic aspect to his game, there is an innate toughness that is apparent. Davis finished with 21 points in the game, 13 of them came in the second half of a one-possession game. Davis touched the paint, made his free throws, and defended the opposing team’s primary ball handler. He did each well. Davis has not taken any official visits yet, he has taken unofficials to the likes of Penn State, George Washington, and Butler. The point guard’s most recently claimed offer was from Illinois." www.on3.com/news/darren-harris-nyk-lewis-shine-in-wcac-playoffs/

Coach Cooley says that one of his primary recruiting goals is to land a top 10 class in 2024. If anyone can make this happen, it’s him!

"Four-star C Patrick Ngongba (Team Takeover) is leading the Nike EYBL session in rebounding with eight per game. On Saturday he averaged 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds. Ngongba is turning into one of the better post presences in the class." www.on3.com/news/nike-eybl-session-1-top-performers-day-2/

"In the thick of the transfer portal feeding frenzy, Virginia Tech Head Coach Mike Young hit the road this weekend to watch the top high school players compete down in Atlanta... Isaiah Abraham Abraham, a Class of 2024 4-Star, ranked 60th in his class, dazzled and displayed his ability on day one. While positionally, he is listed as a small forward standing at 6’7”, Abraham moves like a guard and has plus shot-making ability. He has an effective stroke from range and can take it to the rack. The Fairfax, VA product can score on all three levels and has the natural talent to get above the rim and make plays. Also, Abraham runs the floor well, similar to the new Hokies transfer forward Tyler Nickel. On Day one, Abraham had 11 points on an efficient 5-6 shooting from the field in only 18 minutes. Mike Young and Virginia Tech offered Abraham on June 16, 2022. Patrick Ngongba II Next Ngongba, also a Class of 2024 4-Star, has had a solid weekend as well. High School teammates with Abraham at PaulVI Catholic in Fairfax, the 89th ranked player in this class towering at 6’10”, asserted himself in his contests. On the second day of competition, Pat tallied a double-double snaring 12 boards with 11 points going 4-5 from the floor. Ngongba is a natural shot-blocker and glass cleaner who does the dirty work for a team. Also, not a shocker, he played exceedingly well with Abraham on EYBL Team Takeover utilizing their chemistry from High School. Ngongba has offers from Kansas State, Iowa, and Georgetown among others." 247sports.com/college/virginia-tech/Article/Virginia-Tech-Mike-Young-EYBL-Isaiah-Abraham-Patrick-Ngongba-II-208786535/
