Don't hate me for being a optimist Etomic...🤣 Lol! No hate at all... My big hope is that you don't have to post "I knew this was going to be a long season" after the 6th game again next season...

The reason why I had a change in my thoughts on the team after the SC lose was because I realized that our lack of talent and experience would be too much to overcome. At this point we are talented and experienced. If we struggle next year I promise you that I won't use the extra Covid19 year or lack of experience excuses. Every team in the BE is on equal footing as far as normalcy of player experience. The Collin Gillespie, Isaiah Whaleys and Nate Watsons are all out of college basketball....Sorry for such a late reply.😁

People can argue about how good of a coach Cooley is, but he does a great job attracting players. Providence is not the easiest school to recruit to, but he gets good high school players and does even better lately in the transfer portal getting the type of players he wants. The guy is a great salesman for the Friars!!!

You have to be fair here, not many people thought much of Horchler or Bynum or Croswell or Minaya when Cooley landed them, He & his staff integrated them into his system which led to a lot of production which led PC to a historic run last season… In m view PC is reaping the rewards of their coaching abilities more than the salesmanship, if the salesmanship was that great they would have landed at least one of Floyd or Locke(twice)or Hopkins out of HS since they all had them in their top 3 coming out of HS

The guy is a great salesman for the Friars!!! Ed Cooley fits that program very well--he's down to earth and sells the PC family experience. Jay Wright is (was) another example of the same. That said, you can't be something you're not, and that's not Ewing's style. He's not jumping into a pool on social media to celebrate a recruit, because that's not him. Ewing promotes his NBA ties/connections and the extant traditions of the program and that style has seen its ups and downs over these last five years. Ewing is also older than most Big East coaches and that also plays a role.

They have replaced departing players. "Reloaded," as I define it, remains to be seen.

The others—OK numbers on not very good teams.
