No. I would not want him in charge. But I have zero confidence in Biden either. Gotcha. What has he got wrong up until this point? What do you think we should be doing that we haven’t yet? He has been the tail dog on most moves. “Leading from behind” if you will.

How do you know? I would think the US cannot be the face of the opposition outside of Ukraine. I would think that all of the Russian troop movement info that the Ukrainians are receiving, for example, is coming from the US.

It appears you’re saying you like the substance but not the style… Do you think Europe is making these moves on their own and America is following? Or do you think the US is pulling the strings or at minimum coordinating the response? I’d argue it’s more powerful that Germany announces something, then France, then the Nordic countries etc. it makes it seem like it’s Russia vs the world not Russia vs the US.

The strategic and exceedingly detailed intelligence leaks have been the crux of everything that's happened since the invasion. Got pretty much all of NATO on board with defending Ukraine if an invasion happened before it did; countries like Germany have agreed to sanctions, defense spending, and arms supplies that would have been unthinkable a month ago. Also took away Putin's False Flag Prextext for the war, which has destroyed Russian troop morale. The number of Russian troops "running out of gas" and in no hurry to go anywhere is partly bad coordination, but there's a good deal of low-key sabotaging of their own mission going on. The counterfactual of the Trump presidency. There's no intelligence leaks. Trump says the False Flag video looks "real, tremendously real" to him and rambling about the fire and brimstone the US would rain down on any country that did that to them, basically inviting Putin to invade. The invasion lasts the three days that (in our current timeline) it seems Putin had planned for. Putin is probably making a speech from Kyiv right now while he starts thinking where to start his invasion in Poland because Trump has abandoned NATO. But yeah, Biden isn't on TV making a ton of speeches, so that aspect of "leadership" is missing.

Rebuilding NATO's confidence in the US predated Russia's invasion by many many months to repair the damage done by the orange psychopath. Efforts at reassuring our NATO allies probably began on January 20, 2021. That's not in anyway leading from behind. Especially after Afghanistan, Biden had lots of work to do and he did it. Some people are wholly ignorant of the nuts and bolts of foreign diplomacy.

Don’t forget to pray for the Iranians… Its amazing what fetid juvenile garbage passes for an argument on today's American Right. You don't realize you should be too embarrassed to post that 5th grade crap? You really don't understand it just makes you look lacking in seriousness and petty and small and scores zero points on your intended target? How many trillions of Republican braincells have been starved of oxygen in the last 5 years....

It should be obvious, but I’ll spell it out for you: Trump was destabilizing the west, alienating allies, defanging NATO, and undermining American democracy. You know, doing all of Putin’s work for him. It would have been reckless for him to invade under Trump’s watch. Also, forward looking, putting Biden in a bad position helps Trump in 2024. It’s not all that difficult to grasp. Hope that helped. Or, he knows Biden will screw the pooch on this as he has for 40 years.
