Many right wing outlets are gloating that the rapist is undocumented and never apologizing for calling the case a lie in the first place. What do you think is more important to the right wing: their “pro-life” stance or their absolute disdain of “anchor babies”? You can sell their xenophobia right back to them saying that limiting access to abortion will increase the number of “anchor babies”. They’d be paralyzed by having to make the decision.

What's the word to describe MAGA GOP Fox "News" viewers. . . . stupid, ignorant, dumb, moronic, imbecilic? Some of Fox’s most high-profile hosts — Tucker Carlson, Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham — suggested this week that the account of the 10-year-old rape victim was a “hoax” and “politically timed disinformation,” and claimed that the Biden administration was “lying” about the case after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. But hours after the arraignment of Gershon Fuentes on a charge of felony first-degree rape was first reported by the Columbus Dispatch, the Fox hosts did not correct or amend their previous reporting, like The Post or the Journal did on Wednesday. Instead, Watters, who had suggested the story was a “hoax,” took some of the credit for the arrest during a show that featured Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita (R) calling for an investigation of the doctor who provided abortion care to the 10-year-old girl. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/07/14/abortion-girl-rape-fox-carlson-watters-ohio/

Fox exposing themselves legally here, not to mention completely despicable behavior. Arrested for being compassionate and doing the right thing in the face of possible personal consequences? Sounds about right for the "Republican" party.

Fox exposing themselves legally here, not to mention completely despicable behavior. Turns out she did report it as mandated. I hope she rakes all these people over the coals in court. You would think that the AG would have checked into this BEFORE going on Fox News. But of course he’s a political hack so he either didn’t try to or didn’t care to try.

MAGA GOPers are such malignant clowns. A cancer on the American body politic. But records obtained by The Washington Post on Thursday afternoon show that Bernard indeed reported the minor’s abortion to the relevant state agencies before the legally mandated deadline to do so. The doctor’s attorney, Kathleen DeLaney, said in a statement to news outlets that Bernard is “considering legal action against those who have smeared [her], including Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita.” www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/07/15/indiana-doctor-abortion-report-investigation/

Well, yeah, and his viewers won't give a flying you know what about that. Of course not. That's how cults work.

An oldie but goodie! You might have come across the articles (“I Lost My Dad to Fox News” / “Lost Someone to Fox News?” / “‘Fox News Brain’: Meet the Families Torn Apart by Toxic Cable News”), or the Reddit threads, or the support groups on Facebook, as people have sought ways to mourn loved ones who are still alive. The discussions consider a loss that Americans don’t have good language for, in part because the loss itself is a matter of language: They describe what it’s like to find yourself suddenly unable to speak with people you’ve known your whole life. They acknowledge how easily a national crisis can become a personal one. At this point, some Americans speak English; others speak Fox. www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2020/09/fox-news-trump-language-stelter-hoax/616309/

Trump still has his supporters on the network, but the dynamic between a former president openly flirting with another run for the White House and Rupert Murdoch’s top media asset is definitely changing. For one thing, Fox is more focused on President Biden, a subject of relentless prime-time attacks, than Trump, and the network didn’t air Trump’s speech this week in Washington, D.C., even as it did air a portion of an earlier address Tuesday by former Vice President Mike Pence. “Trump’s superpower is getting all the coverage. That’s not happening anymore. Fox is not covering him 24 hours a day,” said Daniel Cassino, a media expert who wrote a 2016 book about the network’s influence over American politics. “So it seems that is leading to frustration that he’s not dominating Fox the way he did before.” That tension boiled over this week, when Trump lashed out at Fox and its flagship morning program, “Fox & Friends,” after two of the show’s longtime co-hosts threw cold water on polling suggesting young voters felt Trump was the best choice for Republicans looking to win back the White House. Other Murdoch-owned media properties have separately fired off editorials critical of Trump in the wake of damaging revelations from the House panel investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. thehill.com/homenews/3577133-dynamic-shifts-between-fox-news-donald-trump/amp/

Who's dumb enough to go to Fox Prop for "news"?
Former Fox News politics editor Chris Stirewalt joined CNN Tonight on Wednesday and spoke about being let go from Fox in January 2021 following outrage from viewers after he called the state of Arizona for President Joe Biden in the 2020 election. While Stirewalt didn’t blame Fox for his termination, he did say that the network has not served its viewers well.
“I observed in these viewers and these folks, that they had been so deceived, and they had been so flattered, and they had been so coddled over the years,” Stirewalt said, “that when the ice cream dish was taken away, and me, Mr. Green Beans is put in front of them, and I said, ‘Well, too bad, Donald Trump is not going to get reelected,’ they were not ready for that.”
Stirewalt, who spent 10 years at Fox, said he believes journalists have an obligation to the people of the United States.
