This explanation is nonsense. If that were the reason, what took Fox so long to fire him? Because the best/most job security an employee in a large company can ever have is to be a key witness in a large litigation against the company. I have to respectfully disagree here, because Fox isn't finished dealing with these cases. If Fox was concerned about keeping Tucker happy in connection with the Dominion trial, the same logic would likely apply to SmartMatic. I agree with SS that the Grosberg suit is a bridge too far for them. Whatever the reason, good riddance to a heaping pile of dung.

Ha ha ha ha. Moronic "Republicans" must enjoy being lied to, played for chumps, and being targeted by one of the biggest grifts in American history - Fox Prop + Mango.
NEW YORK (AP) — Hundreds of thousands of Fox News viewers are reacting to Tucker Carlson's firing by abandoning the network in his old time slot — at least temporarily.
Fox drew 1.33 million viewers for substitute host Brian Kilmeade in the 8 p.m. Eastern hour on Wednesday night, putting the network second to MSNBC's Chris Hayes in a competition Carlson used to dominate, the Nielsen company said.
That's down 56% from the 3.05 million viewers Carlson reached last Wednesday, Nielsen said. For all of 2022, Carlson averaged 3.03 million viewers, second only to Fox's “The Five” as the most popular program on cable television.

Poor Fox Prop. . .It needs to find a new and better liar. This proves how stupid "Republicans" are and continue to be. Morons. Fox News experienced a significant ratings drop in the 8 p.m. hour last week after firing prime-time host Tucker Carlson — while one of its much smaller conservative cable rivals appears to have benefited, at least temporarily, from the viewer migration. Carlson averaged more than 3 million total viewers per night from April 17-21, what turned out to be his final week in that time slot. But in his absence, the network averaged only 1.65 million viewers per night last week. www.washingtonpost.com/media/2023/05/01/fox-news-ratings-drop-tucker-carlson/

So basically there were moments, at least, when he recognized what he was doing was evil. But, the money was too good so he kept on doing it anyways. Absolutely awful human being.

Chris Licht should be fired after last night. He shouldn’t be fired for platforming an insurrectionist, lying, sociopathic rapist and for filling the audience with truly repugnant people who love his sociopathy. He should be fired because it was an absolutely terrible business decision. He is not going to get an increased viewership from right wing nuts after this. They only tuned in for this one event and still see CNN as the enemy. However, in all likelihood, they’ve absolutely alienated a huge percentage of a sparse and dwindling viewership by doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to counter his endless lies. It could have been an opportunity to hold his feet to the fire; instead it was just a platform for him to spew more lies and hatred to a bigger audience. There is no way this helps CNN in any discernible way except for the one night bump and has destroyed them with loyal and even casual viewers. How did Licht get this job? It doesn’t seem like he has any idea what he is doing. By the way, he went to Syracuse. So it should have been clear from go that he is ill equipped to handle anything.
