Villanova and UConn didn't either The Big East is allowing arguably its three biggest programs to miss out on this opportunity for nationally appealing match ups. It should be Rutgers @ Nova, Georgetown @ Maryland, and UCONN @ Michigan State. Those three matchups would all be highly anticipated and raise the profile of the conference, but instead we get to see Rutgers play in an empty arena against DePaul.

Creighton at Nebraska should be a fun game for the fans.

Creighton at Nebraska should be a fun game for the fans. Both fanbases seem to be complaining about it, though. Not that they don't like the rivalry game. Just that they play each other every year anyway -- so why should they waste the opportunity to play a different major opponent. The scheduling for this as a whole has been pretty strange.

Soooooo when does that new transfer rule for the big East become official? Dude is nasty, obv unlikely if even possible as he is looking for a contender which he is good enough for tbh and would propel us so high this year with King and him up front and having two McDonald's on the team would be very nice

This scheduling seems set to protect the top Big Ten teams from getting upset/beat and lose rankings to another conference.

I dunno. I don't see a matchup where it would be a major upset for the BE team to win. Maybe Butler over MSU, but even hat doesn't seem totally impossible.

Mutombo listed at 6’10”. Amazing how little was known about this future NBA hall of famer!

My exact thoughts- no one had any clue. Big John gets slammed for a lot of his recruiting, but that one turned out pretty well!

I guess I meant more that the Big 3 (Michigan, Ohio State, MSU) are protected with highly winnable games against lesser opponents rather than risk being matched up with Villanova or UCONN which could pull the top 25 rankings out of the Big 10 and into the Big East. Essentially last year the Big 10 was able to keep their inflated rankings in conference by not playing anyone out of conference. This led to them getting a record number of teams in the tournament, only to have them all flame out because they were all overrated.

I agree with you professor about the BIG10 being overrated last year but they were also unlucky at the top in the tourney. Michigan lost Livers, Illinois and OSU had horrible matchups. If the team you play wins multiple games then I don't like to put the overrated tag on you. It's exactly what the media says about the JT3 teams.
