I came to this thread at halftime of the UCONN game to feel better. I wish this prediction would be right, and we would regroup for a BET run. I don’t see this team winning four games in a row, but right now I would settle for one win. We haven’t shown much in tournament play under Ewing. I would like to see us start to change that this year. My hope is that we will regroup after being embarrassed today and be ready to make a strong showing next week. I don’t think any team is going to be especially excited to play us. Even with the poor showing today, I think we will be a tough opponent next week.

At this point we are 7,8, or 9. I think our best outcome is 7 seed vs Butler (who has never won at MSG) rather than Marquette.
So for that to happen we need Nova, Creighton, and Marquette.

Optics aside, I think you'd rather fall into that 8/9 game vs Butler and then get a crack at Nova without Gillespie + you avoid UConn/Creighton

Nova looks absolutely terrible. They can't run the pick & roll motion without Gillespie. Really limits them offensively. I'd love Butler, Nova, X/Hall, and hope that UConn gets knocked off.

At this point it's probably preferable to be in an injured Villanova's side of the bracket.

Don’t want any part of UConn round three.

At this point it's probably preferable to be in an injured Villanova's side of the bracket. Especially with Justin Moore now in a boot after an ankle injury.

This is amazing. They were down 20.

This is amazing. They were down 20. And they did it by attacking the basket, not the 3.

Nice win by Providence - blew a 20-point lead to a Nova team missing two injured starters and won by 2 at home on the back of a gift no-call.

Can’t even get PC to lose for us. Not the desired result in the first two games. I get Nova is hurt, but I still think they’ll be a tough out in NYC.
I guess at this point I’d rather play Butler in the 8/9 game so we have two chances - Butler beating Creighton or Xavier beating Marquette.

This is amazing. They were down 20. And they did it by attacking the basket, not the 3. And Providence did the opposite. Up big and then bad outside shot after bad outside shot. hm

With the Providence win today, we are in the 8/9 game for sure. One win away from Nova.
