T.D. Ierlan, #1 faceoff man becomes eligible for Denver March 21 after transfer from Yale. So we won’t see him this week but don’t be surprised to see him in BET; difference maker. But I’m sure Reilly is eager for the challenge. I don't know what is more difficult for me to process--someone transferring from Yale to Denver, or Denver being in the Big East. Part of his rationale is that he had two other teammates who were using their extra eligibility there. Also, he's still getting a Yale degree: yaledailynews.com/blog/2021/03/30/trio-of-bulldogs-suit-up-for-denver-this-spring/

Hoyas tie Denver at 9 to kick off the 4th quarter. Exciting stuff on Fox Sports 2

Winner in OT after possession for the 1st 3 minutes. Great win against one of the best teams in the nation.

Hoyas win 11-10 in OT. That was a DAMN entertaining game of lacrosse. Edge of your seat action pretty much the whole way through.
James Reilly won 14 of the last 17 faceoffs. Incomprehensible. What an absolutely heroic performance at the X.

Avenge the earlier loss to Team Canada.....er..D.U. Our own Canadian, Dylan Watson, who missed the first one was huge. Same for Gibson Smith who is rounding into lax shape. Apart from everything else this sews up an at large tourney bid if needed. Gray unis with Navy trim were the sweetest Georgetown kits, in any sport, I’ve seen.

Would have been a great day in DC. After watching the W against Denver on Cooper Field to take 1st in the BE going into the BET, you could walk up to Shaw to watch the Hoyas win the BET finals across Seton Hall (fingers crossed).

How key were faceoffs? The ball was never out of GU’s offensive end in OT.

Hoyas close out the Big East regular season with a 14-5 win over Providence. Now they hope that Villanova can pull out a win at home against Denver on Wednesday. If not, GU and DU both finish at 8-1 and the Pios will get the #1 sees on head-to-head goal differential.

They sure do look like they're having fun out there. But then, as Lee Reed so often puts it... #WinningIsFun

Nova got close, but Denver took them down in OT in Pennsylvania today in what was apparently an epic game. So the Hoyas get the #2 seed and will face a very dangerous - but hopefully demoralized - Nova team in the Big East semis in Providence.

Bad loss to a mediocre Loyola team in Balto tonight. Hopefully a wake up call; next game takes on added significance.

Bad loss to a mediocre Loyola team in Balto tonight. Hopefully a wake up call; next game takes on added significance. Non-zero chance Warne walked all the way back from Baltimore just to cool off. I expect them to come out full of piss'n'vinegar against a drastically-improved Villanova team.

I haven't been watching CBSSN, but 6-6 at half of the Big East semi against Villanova. Denver awaits the winner in the final after unsurprisingly dispatching Providence.

I only saw the fourth quarter, but that was all you needed to see. The start was insane, with the Hoyas taking a lead and then quickly losing it 4 times in the first 7 minutes. Then we squandered a full minute of extra man opportunity. And recovered from that, with T.J. Haley scoring his first goal since the home win against Nova in late March to take the lead before Petkevich produced GU's first two-goal lead of the game. Hoyas win 14-12, and now there won't be a long, agonizing wait before the field is announced.

Quoting a poster on LaxPower:
Between this and the home game against Denver, this Hoya team has produced some absolutely top notch entertainment. Not the easiest on the nerves, but there is something to be said for watching two good teams go at it when they're both firing on all cylinders.
