Sheldon Whitehouse is putting on a Master Class in how to expose how our Democracy is being bought by wealthy dark money donors...

She wouldn’t answer this or if the president should commit to a peaceful transfer of power. Cool

The attacks on Amy Coney Barrett’s Catholicism honor RBG how? Who's attacking her Catholicism? Can you provide examples? I'm still waiting for the anti-Catholic bigotry. Did I somehow miss it??? In fact, the words “religion,” “Catholic,” “Christian” and “faith” were invoked in relation to religious issues about 80 times over two days of question-and-answer sessions with Barrett. Republicans and Barrett accounted for 75 of them; Democrats, only five. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/10/15/democrats-non-existent-persecution-amy-coney-barrett/

It's always the same story.

Barrett is fully qualified to be a Supreme Court justice and she has comported herself with class.

Barrett is fully qualified to be a Supreme Court justice and she has comported herself with class. If she had class, she’d recuse herself from this hypocritical sham.

Former 4th Circuit judge and a conservative suggests that Coney Barrett may have to recuse herself from any election case that may reach SCOTUS. But as Barrett must already understand, her decision was made exponentially more difficult by Caperton v. A.T. Massey Coal Co., an inartful and mischievous 5-to-4 case decided over a decade ago by the court she will soon join. The ruling would seem to apply squarely to Barrett’s recusal decision and could well require, or at least counsel, her recusal. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/10/17/amy-coney-barrett-recuse-2020-election-cases-caperton-v-massey-coal-co/

When I look at Mizelle's experience which includes Supreme and Circuit Court Clerkships and adjunct teaching at a major law school I just laugh at the ABA.

... Assistany US Attorney, work at Jones Day (Scalia's old top 30 law firm) etc. etc.
Retire the ABA
(The ABA would say that a bottom of their class lawyer who had 12 years of traffic court experience, who is not a Federalist Society Member would be qualified).

When I look at Mizelle's experience which includes Supreme and Circuit Court Clerkships and adjunct teaching at a major law school I just laugh at the ABA. Mizelle had roughly five years of trial experience at the time of her nomination; the ABA typically requires twelve years in order to give a nominee a rating of "Qualified" What makes you more qualified than the ABA to access her qualifications? It's not particularly hard to meet them.
