She didn’t. But she was anathema to White in philosophy as most suggest Judge Coney Barrett is to RBG. Other than the fact that was one of the main parts of his comment I think you're taking a very narrow view of his philosophy, which seems very difficult to pin down. Irony comes in many flavors. RBG replacing the Justice who dissented in both Miranda and Roe and decried “substantive due process” as an artifice does it for me.

RBG replacing the Justice who dissented in both Miranda and Roe and decried “substantive due process” as an artifice does it for me. Well, if you limit it to three examples, and ignore half of his reasoning, it's hard to argue that it's just as ironic.

Could not agree more. Joe and Kamala should announce it and own it.

Republicans have been harping about splitting the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals for years. Do them one better and split them all.

Could not agree more. Joe and Kamala should announce it and own it. Name a Trump 2nd term policy. Your party has no platform other than "what Trump wants".

Could not agree more. Joe and Kamala should announce it and own it. Just like the Republicans you support, they should do whatever the hell they want. This is the ideology you support so stop asking the other side to be better. Fair is fair. For the record, the real court-packing is what's been going on in the Senate for the last 6 years. They essentially shrunk the size of various courts under Obama by refusing hearings on countless nominees and expanded them under Trump. I don't recall them being forced by RW journalist to answer for this, and that's something they actually did, not a hypothetical.

What I don't understand is why the Dems aren't more aggressive on this. The Republicans didn't just steal a Supreme Court seat, they stole roughly 120 judgeships by refusing to even take up Obama nominees. Why didn't Joe or Kamala point that out during the debates? It's time to take the offense.

3 justices, all Trump appointees, 2 McConnell held open since 2013. And R’s talk about court packing
Why should Republicans be the only ones who get to play with gasoline and matches? This is how you radicalize people.

Who's attacking her Catholicism? Can you provide examples? elvado ? Find anything yet? Repubs setting up strawman to attack. It doesn't matter to the factually-challenged Trump cultists as long as they hear it from the GOP Trump toadies and lackeys - they will believe the accusations to be true. They are that ignorant and immune to facts and reason. It's another demonstration of the cultists "herd mentality". But even normally cooler conservative heads, like S.E. Cupp, have helped hype the hysteria. In her column for the New York Daily News, Cupp called the "anti-Catholic attacks" on Barrett "gross" and "shameful." Her evidence? One tweet from Reuters and three from individuals who hold no political office and whom most Americans have never heard of. In her piece, Cupp linked to an article from the Christian Broadcasting Network that brashly claimed the "anti-Catholic attacks" against Barrett "are already flowing." But the CBN article couldn't provide one example of that actually happening this past week. No one has shown any substantive proof that a coordinated and sustained campaign of religious bigotry against Barrett is underway. Conservatives' concocted crisis is mostly smoke and little fire. theweek.com/articles/939393/republicans-are-desperately-trying-change-subject
