I am bumping this again as I think we should focus on the positive.
I look at the individuals on this team, and I see some very positive unifying characteristics. This group seems self-confident, tough and committed. When basketball is able to return this group will commit itself to winning and creating a new culture of success and optimism. With the experience and work ethic of our coaching staff, and the continuing commitment to bringing in great players that fit this mindset, the present and future are super exciting.
Go Hoyas!!

I've been thinking about the program a lot the past few months. But, also have seen some of the new guys working out in preparation for fall to begin. While there wasn't Kenner League and a lot of court play has been shut down and gyms closed there is a lot to look forward to.
The guys that are currently on the team want to be here. They are at Georgetown for the team. The defining moments for many new players was the team focus play and the dedication the players had to the team and winning while missing players. They want to play in the Ewing system. The tough defense, the passing to open players for easy points, the up tempo transition, and preference for shooting. This is why these guys are Hoyas and want to play for Patrick.
Watching players transition their games last year with coaching and focussing on playing the current Georgetown way showed a team down on players giving it their all and shining. I'm really looking forward to that they young big guys can do, as they are going to make a difference (Seton Hall big man may have improved quite a bit over summer, but there really isn't another team that can disrupt them). The young wings and guards look promising.

Okay, I'm very curious about the status of the team. School has started. Is everyone home or maybe living off campus? Does anyone know what, if anything is going on? I know the university and the team are preparing for John Thompson, Jr. funeral program and that this is important time in our history.

Saw a Timmy I instagram post this morning of him running the Exorcist stairs although it was not with any teammates.

Saxagael, Where did you see the freshmen play? Are they in DC? I've seen the two of the transfers working out, not on the court though. Carrey has been working with a really good basketball trainer and looking really good. Really good hops, movement, and quickness. The other transfer guard I've only seen working with the trainer one time. Seton Hall's senior big is in a lot and improved a ton this summer, which could make for a tough or interesting game depending on how Hoya bigs have done this summer.

I'd like to know that answer too. How did I miss that post? I'm assuming saxagael did not see the incoming players working out in person but through their social media accounts. It is transfers I've seen this summer working out in limited people gym access with trainers (40 to 50 person gym limited to 10 people). Those are the new editions. Timmy was on M Street Saturday morning with a couple other players (I only saw the other two from the back, but likely guys 6'4" or taller). Timmy stood out. There are students in housing in the houses just off campus, which is where some of the basketball team have lived in the past.
