Hands up, on TV, doesn’t matter. Still arrested. Pulling out dogs and using them on citizens reminds me of the black and white pictures from the Civil Rights Movement in the 50's & 60's

I think this is an outstanding article for conservatives and republicans to read. (Make sure you click “Show full post” to see the whole thing.) The author has been a “Never Trumper” for a long time, American Racism: We’ve Got So Very Far to Go

This one is not police brutality. Instead, a guy freaking out over some signs commemorating George Floyd. I can’t even imagine the mentality that would get a guy riding a bike on a trail to lose his mind over a couple signs. Well, I know exactly the mentality but i don’t understand it at all. Another reason to hate Twitter. What It’s Like to Get Doxed for Taking a Bike Ride

Trump is using this segment from OANN to justify a violent attack by the police on an unarmed elderly man that sent him to the hospital. He literally had blood coming out of his ears and he asks if it "could be a setup?"

"One person was injured when he tripped and fell" 🤔 More troubling than the tweet (which is immensely troubling) is that over 100,000 people liked it. He’s getting ratioed I think for the first time ever, but still. This shows just how truly repugnant his followers are.

So much awfulness. I really don't have anything to say. But, I appreciate all that's posted here and the perspectives being shared. Please continue to do that, Hoyas. I respect nearly everyone here and very much look forward to reading what many have to say.

I’m convinced that Christians need to speak out and to protest at times. And the reality is, all Christians believe this about certain issues. For example, it does not seem controversial when we march for life. But it does seem controversial when we march for racial justice, and I think it’s worth exploring why. Here’s the challenge: You can simultaneously speak out against systemic racism and looting and violence. Evangelicals sometimes struggle with the former but demand the latter. Followers of Jesus must do both. [The Trump's "very fine people" don't do both]. www.christianitytoday.com/edstetzer/2020/june/why-i-protest-and-you-should-too.html

The best part of this is they have an "All Lives Matter" poster in the background while mocking the death of a black man. Kind of says it all.

“The President was raising questions based on a report that he saw. They’re questions that need to be asked, and every case, we can’t jump on one side without looking at all of the facts at play" -- Kayleigh McEnany on Trump's tweet about a 75 year old man being an Antifa plant

Chauvin's motive?
Former co-worker says Floyd and Chauvin ‘bumped heads’ at a nightclub A former co-worker at a Minneapolis nightclub where George Floyd and Derek Chauvin worked said the two men “bumped heads.”
Floyd died after now-fired police officer Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes during an arrest in the past month.
Speaking to CBS News, David Pinney alleged that Floyd and Chauvin were at odds over Chauvin’s treatment of customers and issues with pay.
The manager of the nightclub would pass out paychecks to indoor security employees such as Floyd, who would then pay outside security staff such as Chauvin, Pinney and another former staffer told CBS News.
Chauvin was displeased one time with the amount he received and blamed Floyd, according to Pinney, who said Chauvin had also taken his annoyance on Pinney.
“No doubt in my mind he knew who George was,” Pinney said of the fatal encounter between Floyd and Chauvin.
Maya Santamaria, owner of the now-destroyed club, told CBS News that she was unaware of any pay issues between the two but said that Chauvin seemed to behave differently toward black customers.
“I think he was afraid and intimidated [by black people],” she told the outlet of the officer she considered to be one of the good officers on the force. - The Washington Post
