Crud! I thought this one was within easy reach. Having 14 turnovers and only 8 assists tonight really hurt. Mosely hurt meant it was down to Allen, Pickett, and Blair to shoot and try to get the ball to the big in the middle. Wahab is a decent inside player to feed, but that isn't quite Timmy yet and Timmy was in for long stretches down the stretch.

If this does not demonstrate to everyone why you need a guy like Mac, or even Yurt, who can get their own shot, I don't know what else you need to see. You cannot win going 10+ minutes without a FG. PC is not a team you can play without some depth, they just beat us up. Looks like Mac will be out for a while, hopefully Yurt can come back for the next one. Exactly

Almost impossible that we will not be playing on Wednesday in the Big East tournament after tonight. Always ready to post just after a loss, this guy

I’m just hoping / thinking positively - maybe a tweak but he only misses one more...

The possession where Pickett missed 3 from close range was killer. The game turned after that possession it seemed. So true, I felt the team's energy drop hard after those 3 misses in a row. Then the Mosely injury, and it was over.

Guys played hard, but wore down. Allen was grabbing his knee a lot. Mosely took a lot of hits. Two freshman big men tried. Give credit to Providence for hitting more outside shots than typical.

It's really hard to win when you aren't getting any transition baskets and you have limited options to create offense in the half court. They didn't have to double the post (heck they got turnover after turnover just defending the post straight up). Yurt surely would have helped tonight. On both ends. Blair and Jagan struggle to create their own shots. So that leaves our sr point guard, who can play the angles and run the PNR but needs a little bit of help.
Look, Provy isn't a good team, but they're not bad. They're good enough to best us in this state.
This hurts. A lot. But lots of teams had worse losses than this tonight. Just means we are gonna need to beat another really good team.

The possession where Pickett missed 3 from close range was killer. The game turned after that possession it seemed. Easy to point out those 3 bunnies but the momentum was already with Provy at that point. Pickett shot would have only delayed the outcome...the 2-3 missed shots when we were up either 5-6pts is when we loss this game...if we go up 7-9pts we win this game....

We didn’t have trouble getting decent shots up. They just didn’t go an. Many rimmed out. It happens. The team got more selfish starting in the first half and it seemed to carry over.

Providence did what they were supposed to do against a short bench--play physical and beat em up...

Saturday becomes a must win. There’s a path still if we beat DePaul.
Essentially we’d have to split at home with Xavier/Nova and split on the road with Creighton/Marquette. The former is doable, the latter will be quite tough.
But until we lose 3 more we are still alive in my opinion.

The possession where Pickett missed 3 from close range was killer. The game turned after that possession it seemed. I agree. We were down one, Pickett misses three layups in 15 seconds, they score to go up three and we never got closer the rest of the game. As good as Pickett played in he first half, those 15 seconds were a killer. Oh for the days when Provy and SH were four easy wins year in and year out.

Tough to be critical as the guys were eventually going to wear down. They’re physicality really took a toll as well. The constant fouling (whether called or not) disrupted the offense and no one could finish through contact. I generally am very down on college officials but the style Providence plays makes it so difficult because they can’t call everything. I love Q but he struggled tonight with the big bodies of Young/Watson.
The tournament is not out of the question but finding the 3 wins most likely needed got much tougher

Fatigue caught up with the team. No shame in that. Played hard.

Georgetown would now have to win four of its last five to climb past Xavier and Providence and they're down to nothing on the bench. An 8-10 record won't cut it anymore after a Quad 2 loss like this.

We will agree to disagree, we were struggling on offense, there is nothing else you can call a 10+ minute drought. If there were that many "good" looks, you do not go 1/4 of a game without a hoop. Please, I know you HATE Mac and even Yurt, but at some point you need scorers, even if they are not "efficient". Honestly, it is sad how much you hate our own players. I really do not understand your agenda or why you follow this team.

Reminiscent of the end of last season. We’ll probably beat Creighton and Nova and then lose to Depaul

It's almost more valuable to lose to DePaul if you somehow knew you'd get the other three wins.
