Hoya Blue just tweeted a pick of Yurt7 and Jack. I presume this is from today. While you cant tell if he is wearing a brace, i would say as someone who has rolled his ankle plenty that just being in this bending position is a good sign for Yurt7. More concerned about Mac's status... Defense is so much better with Q.

Yup. Beating the cellar dwellers short handed is one thing. Trying to beat a team above us is quite another.

Maybe this will go down as the Pickett/Ighoefe game. Q has a propensity to foul. Pickett breaks out of a multiple season slump and hits 8 3's. Ighoefe provides D & boards and the Hoyas escape with the dramatic W.

Too bad Tim I has played in one more games than the medical redshirt rule allows - that was my only remaining explanation for why he can't at least pull 3 minutes a game.

TBH the biggest question for me during this short-handed run has been why we don't see more Timmy I. I get that he's still VERY raw but I feel like he could handle a role like Josh had last year: effort guy, clean up boards, get put backs. Put Timmy I at the 4 and let Yurt7 play the midrange/faceup game outside of the paint. The only reason why I could think that he's not on the floor is that he fouls more then Wahab. Maybe it also wouldn't work since Govan was a better 3pt shooter then Yurt7 has shown while at Gtown.

We really can’t catch a break this year. Not that we still can’t, but this team could have so easily made the tournament this year had a few breaks gone differently.

If we had our original cast and they played as a team, we could have been a sweet sixteen contender.

Once again, Georgetown cures all (of opponent’s) ills.

The way this year has gone, watch us beat Butler at Hinkle without Mac or Yurt, then get both back next Weds at home vs PC and lose...

Actually he has not, you may be thinking of the rule as it applies to football. The medical redshirts rule applied only if (1)you sustain a medically verified season ending injury (2)you have played in less than 30% of your team's games (3)the injury occurred during the first half of the season schedule I think there have been a few exceptions but can 't recall the circumstances. To get a non-medical redshirt in basketball you cannot have played a single minute. Interestingly they changed that rule for football only - now you can play in up to four games and still apply for a redshirt year.
