I said waaay back on this thread and was summarily dismissed. I'll say it again. Maybe the kid just doesn't have much interest in the Hoyas? So many on here thought that if the Hoyas recruited him that he would be ours. Well we are recruiting him and there is no evidence that he cares. He's still shopping for new offers it seems. He’s a kid that’s only recently being recruited by high major programs and is letting the process play itself while waiting for next year’s rosters to become clearer. If anyone thought he’d be ours just by an offer they were obviously wrong, but that doesn’t mean he’s NOT very interested.

If anyone thought he’d be ours just by an offer they were obviously wrong, but that doesn’t mean he’s NOT very interested. I seems that some people who claim to be somewhat associated with Murray say that the Hoyas are still in the mix, so I think he is probably at least interested. I don't blame him for waiting a few weeks for this transfer craziness to settle down and see what other players the Hoyas, or any other school, might bring in before making a commitment. If the Hoyas sign a transfer at shooting guard who has 2 or 3 years of eligibility left, then maybe Murray decides he doesn't want to sit behind some other player for most of his college career. If they bring in grad transfer for just one year, then maybe Murray sees that as an opportunity to come into the program and learn behind a veteran for a year and then be ready to be a major contributor. I am sure he is looking at the rosters for each team that is recruiting him now and then will make the best decision for his future, which is what he should do. there are a lot of moving parts involved in the recruiting process, both on the school side and the players side.

Fee free to look it up or not, and to believe me or not, but the info is right here in this thread no reason to speculate...

At the time this was about the week before or the week people started posting here about him so a lot has changed in that period of time, especially his offers. Haven’t checked in in a few weeks but it seems like he’s really looking for a program that’ll make him feel right at home. I think he’s been trying to be thoughtful about it and let the process play out a little....but I haven’t pressed him too hard. More talked about whether he was open to GU, which he was at the time (before we had even contacted).

Yeah I mean, take it for what it’s worth that was a while ago and various factors have changed. I think the Hoyas are in a solid position though. Hopefully the chemistry with the staff and his potential teammates clicks.

In my humble opinion if he choose Ole Miss, Rhode Island or DePaul...if for no other reason than location, as well as other factors, something is wrong...it could be that we are heavily involved but that article just doesn't address it...we'll see.

It's almost like he's actively trying to avoid mentioning Georgetown in his responses. At least that's the way I read it. Maybe he wants to go to a school far from home, if that's the case then we never had a chance to begin with.

Rhode Island has two DC area recruiters who were former Hoya assistant coaches.

It reads to me like the staff has been outworked by other schools so far, it's not over so we'll see but it's a very disappointing read...

Reads like he and his family doing due diligence and aren't overwhelmed by the process or the hype. I don't think not mentioning Gtown means anything as to whether we are out or in. He should be able to see the hole that he can fill and a place for himself on the team. I think if we can lure a great PF that could lure him. I don't really understand recruiting so I don't know what is happening.
