Doubt it matters but hopefully it does.

Doubt it matters but hopefully it does. Yeah... Wichita State has enough openings, I don't think these two matter too much on our Murray chances.

Watched his film again, honestly would rather have him than Walton. Please put the full court press on, snag him a transfer PF and best player available/ grad transfer guard

The guy I really like at the PF spot is Akeem Odusipe...go back to page 104 on the 2020 thread and look at the 7 minute video...he's got advanced inside power moves, is quick and runs the court like a deer...passes well...rebounds well, even out of his area...plays with great passion and blocks shots as well...this guy is going to be a big time college player...haven't heard anything about our recruitment of him recently, but man is he an impressive PF prospect...

I'd agree on this. There's still development needed but on size and athleticism he is definitely an enticing prospect. His highlight reel is impressive. Given that we're involved with so many good bigs in 2021, I suppose there's an argument to be made that we'd be better off with a grad transfer PF who is maybe a little more ready to help right away, and then giving that same scholarship to someone in 2021. But I'd also support Odusipe, would be a nice addition to the young core we're putting together in the 2020 class. If we could add him and Murray to Beard, Harris, Clark and Sibley the future would be looking pretty bright. FWIW if we offered Odusipe I don't think it was ever public. An article on Rivals a couple weeks ago hypothesized that he "might not be far off his own decision which could be given to Rhode Island." Not sure if that's impacted by the commitment of Abou Ousmane as mentioned.

Hope we do not let him get away. That might come back and haunt us.

Never good to hear about Memphis getting involved, but they are really late to this recruitment. The Hoyas offered Murray late also, but they finally got around to doing it a few weeks ago, so hopefully that would count for something. If Walton doesn't pop for the Hoyas,(and I am not counting on him coming to Georgetown) I hope they can close the deal for Murray

Think about the scenario where Jhavon Blair is our only returning guard.
We need help.

When people put out on twitter that the Hoyas have ground to make up as relationships have been formed, how do they then explain more and more schools jumping in the mix? You also hear from the family they are open to looking at new schools ...you see that they are doing more than exploring options. Good on the kid for getting opportunities but you can’t blame the staff for not building a strong enough bond, or that the staff were late to the party.

Staff should be quicker in identifying kids in our own backyard.

Staff should be quicker in identifying kids in our own backyard. For sure. The net to me is cast too wide. But had we been in on him earlier would it have made a difference?

I said waaay back on this thread and was summarily dismissed. I'll say it again. Maybe the kid just doesn't have much interest in the Hoyas? So many on here thought that if the Hoyas recruited him that he would be ours. Well we are recruiting him and there is no evidence that he cares. He's still shopping for new offers it seems.
