I am new to posting but I have been watching the boards for a few years and I have to say, I am total support of rockhoya. FrazierFanatic comment about the board doesn't edit, delete or admonished posters is totally untrue. How do I know? Because, it actually happened to me! My post wasn't deleted but it was moved to another thread, the moderator made up, along with the string of related comments. Now granted, my post was "off the subject" and so I understand the admin may have been a little annoyed. However, I said in my post, that I wasn't going to speak on this subject anymore after I made my last comment. The interesting thing is....throughout the years, I have seen many post veer off topic and the admins begging posters to stay on topic. However, I never seen a thread get moved. Never ever. I get the feeling because I was speaking about Coach Ewing maybe too glowingly, the admin felt some type of way and moved the whole thread. I said to myself, I've never seen an admin move a whole thread before, wow! Maybe I'm wrong in my thought/perception but I swear I have seen the admins begging people to stay on topic for a lot of these post. If I am right about what I've seen, that is a form of "selective" editing or at least "selective" moderating. Also, there are too many posters saying negative things about the players and coaches. It's almost like they want the team to fail. I often time think these guys can't be real Hoya fans. They must be assistant coaches or fans of other schools that the kid has on his list and they are trying to steer the kid away from Georgetown. How many times have I seen, "oh he's a Duke lean"? "Oh he's a Memphis lean". How many times have I seen players critized in these post? The posters criticize the present players, the past players and the high school players. What is that all about? It certainly is strange since we all are supposed to be Hoya fans. hoyafansinceewingera Moving posts into new threads happens regularly. Just this past week DFW’s thread about Hoya fans started as a post in a different thread. You shouldn’t take that as a slight, it’s actually a way to give your posts (really fun and interesting ones I’ll add) more visibility in a proper place where others can see them and respond accordingly. danmcq does a really great job here, even though his job is especially important right now. He helps to keep us all within the board rules, which doesn’t involve moderating positivity or negativity. rockhoya The negativity from some posters can be tough, but debate and discussion should refrain from personal attacks and name calling because they detract from the points being made and that’s when mods get involved. Okay, I stand corrected and I appreciate your correcting me.

I have been on this board pretty much since the start. The moderators have never "selectively" edited or deleted posts or admonished posters. Ever. Did they ask you to say this? Real talk. Cause that’s asinine. You think I’m just reacting and remembering to things I’ve made up then? Just because that’s not YOUr experience doesn’t mean it’s not someone else’s. And frankly I don’t know how you can confidently say that you’ve digested every single post on this board and know the exact content and explanations for deleted posts....where’d you get your crystal ball? I never said or suggested that I have "digested" (what an odd term) every single post on this board. I do have a life of sorts. But I do read this board daily, and the vast majority of posts over the last 16 years. And it is not that hard to figure out the general content of the posts that have been deleted. What the moderators - who get nothing for all their time and effort except headaches - have been consistent about is enforcement of the rules. No obscenities. No name calling. No speculating about the future of players and coaches - firings, transfers, suspensions, etc. And eventually shutting down endless social media "slap fights" between posters that run on for pages and pages. Do they get every single problem post? Probably not, because yes they do have jobs and lives outside of this board. But they do NOT pick and choose which members they admonish, delete, suspend. I myself have been reminded of the board rules and warned a couple of times - in my younger and more excitable days of course. Rock you are a passionate Hoya supporter. Very passionate. That is fantastic. We certainly need that on the board, especially these days. There will always be those who are more critical and sometimes negative - again, especially these days. And sometimes their criticism extends to individual posts and posters. Defend yourself without attacking them. Use your passion for good!

It’s literally the opposite, but I guess you’re one of those people that think you’re automatically mature because you have some years under your belt? No offense but you don’t seem to know which way is up, I’m literally pushing back against what you’re accusing me of... You clearly don’t understand this “participation era” nonsense you’re trying to spew. There is nothing more epitome of “participation era” than posters shouting “I don’t care if I’m wrong and don’t have experience, I’m gonna dangerously speculate how I’m going to speculate because it’s my right on this board to post whatever my views are no matter how inaccurate, as long as I do it politely people will defend any nonsense” that is about “fairness”. Or whining about how “mean that man on that message board was to me when I was wrong”. Like boohoo, you don’t get points for participation. How about we try to be correct in our assertions. Many are too lazy, and some, like you, would like to see that lazy preparation continue apparently. See, ironically even you misunderstand very plain English words... Know better, do better is all I’m advocating for. And if you (general) don’t know better, how about you take some time to listen to others (we have many experts on this board) and eventually you’ll be able to understand better and develop the ability to distinguish from reality and speculation. No offense but if posters don’t want to keep hearing about themselves (from me), maybe they should also exhibit the respect they are looking for when talking about our program, coaches, and players. Because like I noted in another post they are real people too and the only difference is they’re not here to defend themselves. I’ll never understand why so many on this board take issue with me taking up for them. All good though, I sleep well at night. I bet you do sleep well at night...like a baby What I take Issue with Junior is your disrespect of the people who take time from their lives to moderate this board. What you do or don’t know about GU hoops is irrelevant. Get some manners. Visualize clapping emoji.

Does this warrant a post? Seeing our '21 recruit in a Fresh Prince of Bel Air look doesn't exactly strike me as news or useful information. And yes, I am a jerk!

Yes, it is newsworthy. He's back on Twitter and he's following Georgetown coaches after his account completely disappeared, and he definitely has some style.

Let's keep the connection and love! For those who don't get on Twitter, it's nice to share some highlights, not just of basketball skills but their personalities as well.

Question: prep schools like the one Beard will attend are costly. Who foots the bill?

Actually may not be a bad idea! I was really wondering if the shoe companies or other interested persons/companies had gotten their fangs into the preps.
