How is it possible to play so well and so poorly all in the same game. Beyond frustrating.
Ewing at half said Hoyas were playing like they had their backs up against the wall. Certainly has not been the case this half.

Low IQ... players and staff... They are the definition of insanity. Really, this is worse than with JT3. I dont know about that JTIII was under performing with NBA talent. Who is the NBA talent on this team? True, but I meant “try, try again”. The stubbornness... |

The Hoyas poor defense has returned again Butler will end near 80pts tonight At the moment it is just one player with horrible defense. Everybody else is mostly doing what they are supposed to. |

Not about coaching it is about a player losing his limited defensive IQ. Of course not. None of the ridiculous failures around this team are ever about the coaching. Just like winning is a combination of talent and coaching Losing is a combination of both. I do agree though that Pickett sits with 2 fouls in the 1st half and McDermott is not lighting the team up until Pickett starts to play in the 2nd half and Butler starts to actively look for him on possessions to the point that Ewing should bench Pickett for the poor defense. |

No one wants to shoot the 3. Pickett, Mosely and Allen are passing up shots. They aren't exactly open, but Hoyas not really running plays to get players open at the moment. Yes they are. Enough for a confident player to shoot. We don’t have more than on or two. |

I think Ewing chewed somebody out about leaving McDermott open like on back to back to back to back possessions. Didn't chew them out enough as there still parts of him on the court. Ha ha |

It's a coach's job to get players to execute. It's part of teaching and communicating. It's the most important aspect of coaching. If a player fails to execute, that's a failure of coaching. Coaches are all similar in terms of X's and O's. They all pull info from the same pool of knowledge. It comes down to talent and how the knowledge is communicated to players.
This is where Ewing struggles.
