I will be busting it to get from DCA to the game on time. The least the Hoyas can do is start the game on time. Enough of these quicksand starts on offense.

Have gotten off to much better starts at home, but the energy level better be way up for this one with that much rest.
Butler will be physical, but we've got to stop shying away from contact to avoid foul trouble. I would assume it's probably been a message hammered home by the staff, but it's causing our guys to play timid and slow. Have to set the tone physically and get back to being the strong rebounding team that we've proven we can be when we are engaged.

Much better spot here. Much needed and deserved rest. Will have to prepare for Butler's defense, but it is a much better spot. I'd imagine it's more like this one, but the Hoyas are actually able to get momentum and have more energy. The Hoyas will now have a rest advantage and I think will come out with the same fire we saw on the road trip. Controlling the pace will be huge for this one.

I’ll be mentally checked out if we drop this game at home to Butler. 2-6 with 2 home losses and no road wins ain’t gettin’ it duhn.

I will be checked out as to the Hoyas when my body is cold. Until then, I will be cheering them on.

We always cheer them on. It is more a matter of being able to have any optimism that they will win enough games to stay in the post-season picture. It is getting harder to see a path to success as the fog of defeat spreads.

Quick poll: Which Butler player will have a career night vs. GU? Khalif Battle is a 6'5" FR guard that is 37% 3pt shooter who is averaging 3.4 ppg in 11.5 mpg. Seems like the kind of guy ready to go off on us.

Quick poll: Which Butler player will have a career night vs. GU? HometownHoya already took Battle, so I'll then take Jordan Tucker at 6'7" and 39.3% from three. I'll say that this is his second college game with over 20 points. And no, the first one wasn't against the Hoyas. He only had 15 in the second game against the Hoyas, his third highest total of the season last year.

Really thankful the guys have a little rest. I caught Xavier 1 minute highlights and I can watch Saturday. The highlights and boxscore seemed to show the guys were really tired. Fresh for Butler could be a good thing.

Going to get a slightly more tired Butler team on Tues with tonight going to OT. Need to capitalize.

Jordan was fairly smart in his adjustments on Howard 2nd half. Sent waves of different looks and strategies. Ball denial by Baldwin. Surprise double with Mcdermott. Faceguarding with another defender. Howard did miss a couple open looks but he was out of rhythm because Butler didn't give him the same look every time down the floor. Game like tonight illustrates how big of a deficit we're currently operating at in terms of in-game coaching.

There’s always some luck involved in any sport, but yes that should be the strategy we use the next time we face MU and hope for the best by containing Howard to under 30 pts.

To be fair, we have a depleted roster. All four players we lost could play.

Our offense has changed since conference play has started. When we played Ok St, SMU, and Syracuse we had much better ball movement. Our guards (particularly Allen) have not been penetrating-kicking out like we did with success against the three opponents mentioned above. Our offense in conference has been dump it to the post and stand around/if post gets doubled you might get it back for a decent shot.
