In the legal world what is done, is done. You can only plan for the future and how you can best prepare for the fallout. My heart goes out to the young men not involved with these crimes, but whose basketball careers and futures will be greatly affected by it. It’s obvious now there’s a reason why Mac has been playing with no swagger (aka: cover up Tatoos, not talking to the media, and laying low)- His dad is a district court judge in VA for those that don’t know. Also apparent why Josh has been sitting the bench and not giving a damn, as he probably knew he was ousted. It’s just a shame to see that these very talented young men will succumb to the limelight of their superficial collegiate position and the pressures around them.

Anyone who has a real complaint should go to the real police not DOPS.

Could you clarify?

This is bigger then basketball. Let it play out before all the Ewing bashers call for him to get fired. From all we know Coach is a High integrity guy, let all the facts come out. THIS...Ewing vultures appear to have been waiting to pounce. Me thinks this is only going to drive him to make things right. I suspect he'll be even more motivated. It may bring out the best in him. Sadly there are some people on here happy to pounce on Coach Ewing for anything. They make themselves known after every game lost and they made themselves well known today as they posted over and over again how this is all Coach Ewing's fault without any factual details revealed. Still a lot of facts missing but they are now contortionist with their accusations of Coach Ewing and the staff trying to make things stick. The "we deserve an explanation" argument is also ridiculous. This is for the most part a private matter between the people involved. The university's only responsibility is to the safety, physical, and mental well being of their students. In this situation, it includes the young ladies/coeds and the student-athletes involved. While curious, I myself don't feel I deserve an explanation just because I buy tickets to games or watch on television.

Go read the Washington Times piece on the front page here (this may be the only time I've encouraged someone to read the Washington Times). Why Leblanc was treated differently is clear. If a restraining order was broken that would turn from a restraining order to a crime and time to cut a player loose. Akinjo is still a mystery. And the Akinjo piece is my bigger concern. If he is leaving simply because LeBlanc is being dismissed that is alarming. He’d rather sit out than play on a team he has been given the keys to since day 1 as a freshman? Is the program that toxic that he couldn’t stand to play without his friend LeBlanc whose alleged actions may have made it impossible for him to stay on the team? I don't think Akinjo did this out of solidarity. He and Josh were bundled in the announcement, which isn't a good sign.

We will probably never know what happened. But regardless of the reason, it sure feels like this will be the death knell of PE’s tenure. We have now dismissed four players in three years. We are a sinking ship.

If nothing else, Jagan can continue to cement his name in the Hoya record books as the player with the most charges taken/minutes played.

The list goes on: all the players who had nothing to do with this, but especially Jagan.. DJ Owens has to be absolutely heartbroken. He loves Josh.

Maybe Admin G'town really thought this would not go viral like it has. Not be discovered. But somebody sure had better step forward and speak out, because first we thought our coach had lost control, then we thought two players had hit the release button. Now we have three players with "alleged" criminal activity with one of the three leaving and the other leaving doing so for reasons because "I got your back", or then again maybe I want out.
Someone better re examine what kind of players we are recruiting. Obviously, in this group none are there for a great education at G'town. Think I'm wrong, player transfer option (I got your back Akinjo). Cruel to say but what is the quality of the student athletes we have here. How were they screened? By the same admissions that screens the 12% accepted? I dare say not. One must be very careful with societal undertones, but this "alleges" bullying and assault. Is that Georgetown? I really don't think so. I have come to love Georgetown in the last five years with two granddaughters here. I know of the complexities of "big league" basket ball and football in the NCAA world. It is not like the Olympic type sports. It is not 'thank goodness I was good at soccer/volleyball that helped me a little in admissions but I still had to qualify to get in.
Step up Hoya fans. How do we want it? Certainly not like this. And I am calling out the players and hoping (but doubting) what is alleged is not true.

I unfortunately agree with this...even if he knew absolutely nothing which would be hard to fathom..I dont know if anyone will believe him anyway. Akinjo aside. We are looking at Sodom, Walker and LeBlanc gone in the first 3 years for off court issue and the potential of 2 more players...anyway you spin it...it looks really bad for Patrick even if he had the best intentions.

During his recruitment and through last season, Josh seemed like a GREAT kid. How could this happen? Obviously bringing Alexander in after what happened at LSU seems very dumb in hindsight. Sad...

Josh is responsible for his own actions, and the allegations suggest Josh made his own situation worse. By a lot.

With temporary or permanent restraining orders (a roommate my last semester of undergrad had a restraining order on him by his ex-girlfriend she also had one on her) they are put in place when offenses haven't or can't be proven and are trying to protect parties involved. In college all of the roommates got a talk from the head of student affairs about state law that we needed to keep him away from his ex-girlfriend who was also at the same school. But, also any of us who would talk to her could get our roommate in violation, but also we would be in violation and then have real criminal issues to deal with. The restraining order isn't proof of criminal offense, but usually trying to keep things cool. But, if a person breaks a restraining order it is a crime, but also is a crime for a roommate or friend acting on their behalf. This is not accurate. TROs are not filed because something "can't e proven". It's a placeholder while other processes take place, which typically take much longer. Trying to sugarcoat this doesn't work.
