That would be a lot of schools without bids in the ACC.

That would be a lot of schools without bids in the ACC. While I wouldn’t mind seeing the BEast get 8 and the ACC get 5, it should be noted that Lunardi isn’t a particularly stellar bracketologist. Bracket Matrix puts him as the 55th most accurate over the past 5 years: www.bracketmatrix.com/rankings.html

And from reports he'll likely grad transfer next year and not stay at Creighton.

And from reports he'll likely grad transfer next year and not stay at Creighton. Isn't that a better option than giving up a whole year for 10 or 15 games? I applaud Creighton for looking out for Mintz..

I applaud Creighton for looking out for Mintz.. I think you're assuming a lot there. A coach can't make a guy play. Sounded more like Mintz made the decision to red shirt so he could grad transfer and leave the program rather than play the rest of the year which he could. It's certainly better for him, but bad for Creighton.

It's certainly better for him, but bad for Creighton. Of course they can't make him play but they could make things rough for him right? We've seen programs release kids from the team in similar situations. seems to me they came to a mutual decision... McDermott is quoted saying that he Had been speaking with both Mintz & his family about this for awhile now and that Mintz will continue to practice with the team while rehabbing. The coach is quoted saying that he told Mintz ”you only get one senior year” Plus it reads to me like he's still weeks away from even playing let alone being 100% so I ask again why give up an entire year for half the games?

Win the next two and we should be in the polls. Starts tomorrow and I think a Seton Hall team even with Powell back is very beatable.

Was doing some random recon on unrelated matter (if/how many transfers were starting 5 of nat champ winners recently) and stumbled upon this stat. Since 1999, # of national championships by conference: ACC - 8 Big East - 7 SEC - 3 AAC - 1 Big Ten - 1 (none since 2000) Big 12 - 1 Pac 12 - 0
If i go through the year-by-year memory bank, it all makes sense; but admittedly was surprised (and found it pretty cool/interesting) that we have more championships than all other conferences, outside of the ACC, combined over the last 21 years.

Well Nova won again tonight. What really Editedes me off is how easy Jay Wright is making this look. He just keeps replacing the parts like he's operating an assembly line. C'mon, this is ridiculous. We are Georgetown. While we are flailing, not even able to keep a top recruit from our own backyard, Wright sticks Chris Archidiacano in a basketball academy for a year so he will be older and more skilled for when Nova needs him in a year or two. You can close your eyes and not be sure whether you're looking at this year's team or any of the 2014-2019 teams. A bunch of guys around 6'3 - 6'8 who can shoot 3's, dribble penetrate, shoot off the dribble, pass, play defense. And play smart.

Did your ‘big east hysteria/trash the Hoyas’ bot get scheduled two days too early?

It was a replay of Nova's win over Xavier on Monday. Point still valid. That win and the win over #1 Kansas a week before are just mirror images of what they've been doing the last 5 years. While we struggle to field 7 quality players they just run guys in and out like clones of the players that have won them 2 national championships the last 4 years. I'm not posting this to bash the BE but to maybe get the attention of our fans and athletic department to maybe take a close look at what they are doing and maybe, just maybe, start doing the same.

DrQ, Wright's 1st 3 yrs were.......(7-9..8-8..6-10) in the BE...then he went 11-5....so if you had your way Wright never makes it to year 4...at least that's the way you treat Ewing...
