St. John’s about to finish off a HUGE neutral court win over Arizona. BE goes undefeated today against power 5 teams, pretty impressive...

First time I saw DePaul. Moore looks like he belongs on my kids high school freshman team.

Xavier is taking it to TCU on the road, up 15 with a little over 7 minutes to go...

Through Saturday's games the league is 28-17 against Power 5 conference teams.
Xavier 1-2 Butler 6-1 Georgetown 3-2 DePaul 5-0 Villanova 1-2 Seton Hall 2-4 Creighton 4-1 St Johns 2-1 Providence 1-2 Marquette 3-2
Villanova's power conference opponents were Ohio State, Baylor and Kansas, hence the 1-2. Seton Hall had losses to Oregon and Michigan State in there.
But these would appear to be pretty darn good numbers.

We didn’t need Dr. Willard to tell us this was going to happen.

We didn’t need Dr. Willard to tell us this was going to happen. ...'cause we already knew. Sigh.

We’ve gotten lucky so many times with our opponents missing their top guy. Would have been nice to continue that but no such luck it seems. Maybe he’ll be rusty though and chemistry will be off.
I’ll settle for 1-1 on the road to start.

Was going to say the 2nd best scenario is getting SH with Powell on his 1st game back...all the confidence gained by the role players will be wasted for that game and Powell will likely be really rusty....

Big East now ranked 1st in both conference NET and RPI.
7 teams dancing is looking like a realistic possibility.

That and with Mamushakevli out, we should win this one. Yurt will have to deal with the length of their center. He has been getting by on grabbing boards over the top of smaller foes. That isn't going to happen in BE play.

So now Yurt has been putting up number only because he is grabbing boards over smaller opponents? Hmmmmm. Why doesn't Seton Hall 's big guy do that too? Funny how fans of Duke and Memphis never said that about Carey or Wiseman after they feasted on inferior teams. Heck I recall when Mourning and Mutombo were dominating inside against even weaker ooc opponents early in a season without wondering if those results would translate to better BE competition. Have people forgotten Yurtseven made an All ACC Team as a sophomore?

Anderson has given this team an identity, something it has lacked for years. It is a tenacious group that outworks the opposition, that is in top physical condition and is uncomfortable to play against. Anderson and his staff have gotten a ton out of the supporting cast, from the surprising production of sophomores Josh Roberts, Marcellus Earlington and Greg Williams Jr., all of whom hardly played a year ago, to getting the most out of newcomers like Damien Sears, Julian Champagnie, Nick Rutherford and Rasheem Dunn. nypost.com/2019/12/22/mike-anderson-gives-surprising-st-johns-everything-it-lacked/amp/
