PC beats Texas 70-48! wow PC needed this win, it's good for the conference in my view... Butler is up 13 on Purdue right now, hopefully they can get the win too... |

St. John's will play Arizona, Creighton plays Arizona St. & DePaul plays Northwestern...

PC really taking it to Texas today. Up 43-28 at the half. Devalues our win and gives PC renewed confidence going into our game. Maybe a little but our W was neutral site and Provy was at home....we beat UT by 18 and Provy beat them by 22....Texas is glad to not be playing the BE anymore until a possible tourney matchup.....9-0 against the rest of their schedule, 0-2 against the BE.....lol |

Something tells me that if Butler was a bigger name, they’d be ranked higher than 17. They’ve had a hell of a non-conference.

Feel the same way plus I just hate Providence at this point and have so the past few years. The comments made the BE Media Day just fanned the flames as far as I am concerned. That said my only concern about Providence is their much greater depth on the perimeter. |

Big 12 has the best RPI right now in basketball ...but:
Kansas lost to Nova
West Virginia lost to St. John’s
Ok state lost to Georgetown
Texas tech lost to DePaul and Creighton
Oklahoma lost to Creighton
Texas lost to Georgetown and providence
(Baylor beat Butler by 1 pt but also beat nova. )

1. What was looking like a ‘quality’ win against Texas is not looking so good as of late.
2. St. John’s scares me.

If St Johns wins tonight, the BE likely becomes the #2 conference.

I’ll sign up right now for 9-9. This league is a bear. There’s not one road game I’d think we’d be favored in at this point. Maybe the first two (at Providence and at SH) if Powell is not available. Students will be away. |

Great couple of weeks for BE in non-conference play and the Seton Hall (over Maryland) and Nova (over Kansas) wins are huge. It’s shaping up to be a wide open and very interesting conference season. |
