There are now no active coaching "openings," as the carousel stopped spinning with two schools using interim coaches for the upcoming season. I've opened this thread now to streamline the list.
Newly added information is in bold. Former Big East Conference head coaches are indicated in italics. Open Division I head coaching positions are indicated by underline. There are presently 2 Division I head coaching vacancies.
IDAHO (Big Sky)-- Don Verlin (11 years; 5-27 for the 2018-2019 season; 177-176 at UI and overall) was placed on paid administrative leave, initially for a period of ten days, May 28 by the university after it received a consultant's report detailing three possible NCAA violations from within the men's basketball program, was fired June 14, 2019 and was replaced on an interim basis for the 2019-2020 season June 14, 2019 by Zac Claus (assistant coach at UI). NORTHERN ARIZONA (Big Sky)-- Jack Murphy (7 years; 10-21 for the 2018-2019 season; 78-149 at NAU and overall) resigned June 3, 2019 to accept an associate head coaching position at Arizona, and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis for the 2019-2020 season June 3, 2019 by Shane Burcar (assistant coach at NAU).

I am sorry to hear this. Tim coached at my high school for many years before he went to Iona. He was so successful that he was essentially run out of the conference. Several NY State basketball titles. I know his son had some health issues, when he started at St. Mary's HS. I hope he and his son recover and in good health soon.
