ALABAMA BIRMINGHAM (Conference USA)-- Rob Ehsan (4 years; 17-13 this season; 75-57 at UAB and overall) was fired March 13, 2020, and was replaced as head coach March 19, 2020 by Andy Kennedy (former head coach at Mississippi and Cincinnati).
ALABAMA STATE (Southwestern)-- Lewis Jackson (15 years; 8-24 this season; 207-262 at Bama State and overall) resigned March 27, 2020, and was replaced as head coach May 12, 2020 by Mo Williams (assistant coach at California State Northridge).
ALCORN STATE (Southwestern)-- Montez Robinson (5 years; 15-15 this season; 69-86 at ASU) was advised March 23, 2020 that his contract would not be renewed, and was replaced as head coach April 23, 2020 by Landon Bussey (assistant coach at Prairie View A&M).
CALIFORNIA RIVERSIDE (Big West)-- David Patrick (2 years; 17-15 this season; 27-38 at UCR) resigned July 1, 2020, to accept the associate head coaching position at Arkansas, and was replaced as head coach July 1, 2020 by Mike Magpayo (assistant coach at UCR).
CENTRAL ARKANSAS (Southland)-- Russ Pennell (6 years; 1-9 this season; 50-117 at UCA; 143-176 overall) announced December 17, 2019 that he was taking a leave of absence for personal reasons, and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis December 17, 2019 by Anthony Boone (associate head coach at UCA); UCA announced January 7, 2020 that Pennell would not return as head coach, and that Boone would remain as head coach on an interim basis for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season. Boone (9-12 this season) was named head coach on March 9, 2020.
EAST TENNESSEE STATE (Southern)-- Steve Forbes (5 years; 30-4 this season; 130-43 at ETSU and overall) resigned April 30, 2020 to accept the head coaching position at Wake Forest, and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis April 30, 2020 by Jason Shay (assistant coach at ETSU). Shay was named head coach on May 6, 2020.
EVANSVILLE (Missouri Valley)-- Walter McCarty (2 years; 9-4 this season; 20-25 at UE and overall) was placed on indefinite leave December 27, 2019 by UE pending a Title IX investigation into reports of "unwelcome conduct" dating back to March 2018, and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis December 27, 2019 by Bennie Seltzer (assistant coach at UE); UE announced January 21, 2020 that McCarty had been terminated as of that date as a result of information developed during the Title IX investigation, and that Seltzer, the interim head coach, had been replaced by Todd Lickliter (assistant coach at UE, and former head coach at Butler and Iowa) as head coach.
GEORGIA SOUTHERN (Sun Belt)-- Mark Bylington (8 years; 20-13 this season; 131-97 at GSU; 138-101 overall) resigned March 20, 2020 to accept the head coaching position at James Madison, was replaced as head coach on an interim basis March 23, 2020 by Andrew Wilson (assistant coach at GSU), and was replaced as head coach March 28, 2020 by Brian Burg (assistant coach at Texas Tech).
GRAND CANYON (Western)-- Dan Majerle (7 years; 13-17 this season; 136-89 at GCU and overall) was fired March 12, 2020, was replaced as head coach on an interim basis March 12, 2020 by Marvin Menzies (associate head coach at GCU, and former head coach at Nevada Las Vegas and New Mexico State), and was replaced as head coach March 17, 2020 by Bryce Drew (former head coach at Vanderbilt and Valparaiso).
HAWAI'I (Big West)-- Eran Ganot (4 years; 18-13 for the 2018-2019 season; 77-48 at UH; 80-50 overall) announced November 7, 2019 that he was taking a medical leave of absence for an indefinite period of time, and was replaced as acting head coach November 7, 2019 by Chris Gerlufsen (assistant coach at UH) for the first thirteen games of the season; UH announced that Ganot's medical leave of absence had ended after 51 days on December 28, 2019, and that Ganot would return to his head coaching duties on December 29, 2019 against Maine.
IDAHO (Big Sky)-- Don Verlin (11 years; 5-27 for the 2018-2019 season; 177-176 at UI and overall) was placed on paid administrative leave, initially for a period of ten days, May 28, 2019 by the university after it received a consultant's report detailing three possible NCAA violations from within the men's basketball program, was fired June 14, 2019 and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis for the 2019-2020 season June 14, 2019 by Zac Claus (assistant coach at UI). Claus was named head coach on February 25, 2020.
ILLINOIS CHICAGO (Horizon)-- Steve McClain (5 years; 18-17 this season; 76-93 at UIC; 233-208 overall) was fired March 13, 2020, and was replaced as head coach March 23, 2020 by Luke Yaklich (associate head coach at Texas).
INDIANA PURDUE INDIANAPOLIS (Horizon)-- Jason Gardner (5 years; 16-17 for the 2018-2019 season; 64-94 at IUPUI and overall) resigned August 27, 2019 after being arrested August 26, 2019 in Fishers IN for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis August 28, 2019 by Byron Rimm II (associate head coach at IUPUI and former head coach at Prairie View A&M). Rimm II was named head coach on June 12, 2020.
IONA (Metro Atlantic)— Tim Cluess (17-16 for the 2018-2019 season; 199-108 at Iona; 297-132 overall) missed the 2019-2020 season while attending to a “health matter,” and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis November 9, 2019 by Tra Arnold (associate head coach at Iona). Cluess announced March 13, 2020 that he had resigned his head coaching position, and that he would remain at Iona in an advisory role, and was replaced as head coach March 14, 2020 by Rick Pitino (head coach at Greek League's Panathinaikos, former head coach at Louisville, NBA's Boston Celtics, Kentucky, NBA's New York Knickerbockers, Providence, Boston University, and, on an interim basis, Hawai'i).

NIAGARA (Metro Atlantic)-- Patrick Beilein (first year; no record at NU or overall) resigned October 24, 2019 for "personal reasons" (reportedly relating to allegations of sexual harassment levied against him by the female NU Director of Basketball Operations), and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis October 24, 2019 by Greg Paulus (assistant coach at NU); Paulus was named head coach on November 6, 2019.
NORTH CAROLINA A&T (Mid-Eastern Athletic)-- Jay Joyner (5 years; 3-10 this season; 50-72 at NCA&T and overall) was suspended indefinitely December 24, 2019 by NCA&T, which declined further comment, and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis December 24, 2019 by Willie Jones (associate head coach at NCA&T). Joyner officially resigned as head coach June 16, 2020, and Jones was named head coach on June 18, 2020.
NORTH CAROLINA WILMINGTON (Colonial)-- C.B. McGrath (3 years; 5-14 this season; 26-58 at UNCW and overall) was fired January 13, 2020, replaced as head coach on an interim basis January 13, 2020 by Rob Burke (assistant coach at UNCW), and was replaced as head coach March 13, 2020 by Takayo Siddle (assistant coach at North Carolina State).
NORTHERN ARIZONA (Big Sky)-- Jack Murphy (7 years; 10-21 for the 2018-2019 season; 78-149 at NAU and overall) resigned June 3, 2019 to accept an associate head coaching position at Arizona, and was replaced as head coach on an interim basis for the 2019-2020 season June 3, 2019 by Shane Burcar (assistant coach at NAU). Burcar was named head coach on March 25, 2020.

RADFORD (Big South)-- Mike Jones (9 years; 15-9 this season; 153-136 at Radford and overall) was suspended by the university February 13, 2020 for the February 13 Presbyterian game as a result of on-court conduct during the February 10, 2020 Winthrop game, and was replaced as head coach for that one game by Ron Jirsa (assistant coach at Radford).
SAINT PETER'S (Metro Atlantic)-- Shaheen Holloway (1 year; 10-22 for the 2018-2019 season, at SPU, and overall) was suspended by the university November 7, 2019 for the November 7 New Jersey City exhibition game, the November 13 Bryant game, the November 16 Providence game, and the November 20 Wagner game as a result of an investigation into possible player tampering in 2017 as to the transfer of Taurean Thompson from Syracuse to Seton Hall (where Holloway was employed as an assistant coach/lead recruiter on head coach Kevin Willard's staff), and was replaced as head coach for those four games by Ryan Whalen (assistant coach at SPU).
SAMFORD (Southern)-- Scott Padgett (6 years; 10-23 this season; 84-115 at Samford and overall) was fired March 16, 2020, and was replaced as head coach April 4, 2020 by Bucky McMillan (head coach at Mountain Brook AL High School).
SETON HALL (Big East)-- Kevin Willard (9 years; 20-14 for the 2018-2019 season; 169-126 at the Hall; 214-175 overall) was suspended by the university October 29, 2019 for the October 29 Miseracordia exhibition game and the November 5 Wagner game as a result of an investigation into possible player tampering in 2017 as to the transfer of Taurean Thompson from Syracuse, and was replaced as head coach for those two games by Grant Billmeier (assistant coach at the Hall).

TEXAS EL PASO (Conference USA)-- Rodney Terry (2 years; 9-4 this season; 17-25 at UTEP; 143-133 overall) was listed in critical condition and hospitalized in Miami FL January 1, 2020 after suffering an allergic reaction to a meal, was released from the hospital January 3, 2020, and was replaced as head coach for the January 2 Florida International and January 4 Florida Atlantic games by Kenton Paulino (assistant coach at UTEP).

WYOMING (Mountain West)-- Allen Edwards (4 years; 9-24 this season; 60-76 at UW and overall) was fired March 9, 2020, and was replaced as head coach March 17, 2020 by Jeff Linder (head coach at Northern Colorado).
