College of Charleston added a major piece to its 2023 class on Sunday, when Isaiah Coleman announced his intention to sign with the Cougars. The four-star wing is ranked as the No. 71 prospect in the class of 2023 and represents one of the programs top-rated recruits of all time. ON WHY HE CHOSE CHARLESTON “[Assistant] Coach [Thomas] Carr That's. That’s my man. We talked three or four times a week and just got really close. I think he and the others coaches can develop me into the player I want to be.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-wing-isaiah-coleman-picks-college-of-charleston

Roselle Catholic forward Akil Watson has shown a lot of improvement as he's off to a good start this high school season. Watson has improved his three point shooting and rebounds well for his position. On the recruitment side of things Watson has started to hear from USC, UCLA, Virginia, with Illinois, Auburn,Maryland, Georgetown and Oregon still in the mix. “I have no planned visits but I look to take some towards the end of the season,” he said. “I definitely want to visit USC, UCLA and Miami.” 247sports.com/college/uconn/Article/Basketball-recruiting-Illinois-UConn-Miami-181117965/ON VISITS HE’S TAKEN "I’ve been to UConn and I’ve been to Illinois. UConn was unofficial, but Illinois was an official." ON HIS ILLINOIS OFFICIAL "It was good, but I really didn’t get the full experience because the weather down there was pretty rough when I went, but it was pretty good. I look forward to going back down there." ON WHAT HE DID IN CHAMPAIGN “I went to the game – I went to the game against Arizona. It was good. It was a great game. It was a great atmosphere.” ON HIS TRIP TO UCONN “It was great. I watched a practice. There was a lot of energy. Great coach, too. I like [Dan] Hurley.” ON POSSIBLE FUTURE VISITS “I look forward to visiting USC and Miami. Definitely going to Illinois again. UCLA, too. Those are the ones for now.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/illinois-uconn-miami-others-in-play-for-four-star-akil-watsonArizona State has landed a commitment from four-star forward Akil Watson. The 6-foot-8, 205 power forward chose the Sun Devils over Illinois, Creighton, DePaul among other programs. I committed now to lock it in,” he said. “ It felt like a place where I’m really going to succeed and after I got off campus I just knew that’s where I wanted to be. “The play style, the Pac-12 , Coach Hurley all made it feel like home.” Associate head coach Jermaine Kimbrough was the lead recruiter for Watson. Kimbrough developed a strong relationship throughout the process and Watson’s fit stood out when making his decision. “Coach Kimbrough was the one recruiting me and we have a great relationship. We talk about anything not just basketball. I can call or text him anytime and he’d respond to me. He was really there for me through the whole time out of any other schools.” “They said I would come in get a lot of minutes and do everything for them,” he said. “I would play defense, offense and be an impact to the team as a freshman.” 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Basketball-recruiting-Akil-Watson-Arizona-State-commit-192866613/

Rivals spoke with a source close to Dennis Evans on Wednesday evening, and the programs recruiting the five-star center the hardest right now are Minnesota, TCU, Kansas, San Diego State and Texas, with others coming to the table as well. Whichever program lands the 7-foot-1 big man will potentially have him on the roster for at least two seasons, as he will be too young to enter the 2024 NBA Draft. Visits are the next order of business for Evans, and that should give everyone more clarity on the pecking order in his recruitment. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/recruiting-roundup-dennis-evans-dravyn-gibbs-lawhorn-assane-diopA giant at 7-foot-2, Evans is one of the best rim protectors in the high school game. Schools such as Kansas, Minnesota, and TCU have been keen on his calling card as he says the three programs have shown interest in getting him on campus for official visits. Evans discussed his visiting options with 247Sports: Kansas: "They have a really good program there. I would have a chance to go there and develop as a player and as a person." Minnesota: "Right now, the style of play sticks out. I also like the area because it is going to be an easier place for me to stay grounded and develop without me worrying about too many outside distractions. I will also be able to show that I can make an impact at a higher level if I am given the chance." TCU: "I talk to the coaching staff about their culture, how they play the game, and how they will approach the season in upcoming years. They want to make a deeper run in the tournament. I talk to Jamie Dixon, Tony Benford, and Duane Broussard and I am really starting to build a relationship with them." 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Dennis-Evans-Kansas-TCU-Minnesota-Basketball-Recruiting-191526451/Four-star C Dennis Evans Height/Weight: 7-1/210 High School: Riverside (CA) Hillcrest Status: TCU Dennis Evans will take his first senior year official to TCU this weekend. www.on3.com/news/where-are-top-2023-prospects-taking-official-visits-this-weekend/

Georgetown, Maryland, Marquette, VCU, Iowa, Kansas State, LSU, Xavier, St. John's, Seton Hall and others have all been in steady pursuit of 6-foot-6 guard Aaron Clark. The NY Rens guard opened eyes during the Nike EYBL Session II in Indiana earlier this off-season, scoring off the ball and also proving he can orchestrate the offensive flow and feed the post. Now at national prep power Brewster Academy (NH), the Class of 2023 Clark is a left handed shot maker with range and a knack for timely, fireball assists. uga.rivals.com/news/hoyas-on-prowl-for-talented-guards

Good luck to him...with that list, and then his school of choice, you have to wonder how many committable offers he held.

Vasean Allette was one of the most impressive players at last month’s Will Barton Elite camp, as the 6-foot-3 point guard took the event by storm and showcased three-level scoring ability to go along with impressive court vision. The Canada-based standout sat down with Rivals following the event to discuss his college future and where things stand with his recruitment. ON SCHOOLS IN THE MIX “Arizona State, Georgia Tech, SMU, Dayton, Buffalo, St John’s, VCU, Georgetown, Boston College, some others.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/canadian-g-vasean-allette-talks-georgia-tech-arizona-state

Dennis Evans, the 7-foot-1, 210-pound center from Hillcrest High School in Riverside, Calif., is one of the most heavily coveted prospects in the 2023 class. However, that wasn’t always the case for the No. 12 ranked player in the class. “Dennis really isn’t into the blue blood programs,” he continued. “Kansas is probably it (when it comes to the blue blood programs recruiting Dennis Evans), because he has a relationship with Kurtis Townsend.” Currently, Kansas, TCU, Minnesota, California Riverside, Missouri, Florida State, San Diego State, Texas, Oklahoma State, and Georgetown are a few of the programs that have invested quite a bit of time recruiting Evans. However, during Monday’s interview with JayhawkSlant.com, “Kool-Aid” made it perfectly clear that three programs, at least at this stage, have separated themselves from the pack. “Kansas already offered Dennis and he’s considering Kansas,” he said. “He’s considering Kansas heavy. He’s considering Kansas heavy, as well as Minnesota and TCU. Those are probably the three main schools. After this weekend, Chris Beard (Texas) was at the game the other day. They offered him and they made it very clear, them and Oklahoma State, that they would come. Georgetown has definitely been on him. "The funny part is, maybe only one West Coast school is really recruiting him,” he added. “That school is San Diego State. Listen, like I said, Dennis is a kid who is intelligent, grounded and it's not about the NIL with him. It's about the coaching and can you coach? kansas.rivals.com/news/five-star-big-man-dennis-evans-has-scheduled-an-official-visit-to-kansasGuessing that may not bode so well for us. Hmm, Bill Self or Patrick Ewing, Bill Self or Patrick Ewing, let me think. Minnesota coach Ben Johnson has landed the biggest -- both literally and figuratively -- recruit of his stint as the head coach of his alma mater on Monday night when seven-footer Dennis Evans of Riverside (Calif.) Hillcrest who ranks No. 27 nationally in the class of 2023 told 247Sports that he'll be a Gopher. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/College-Basketball-recruiting-Dennis-Evans-picks-Minnesota-195683189/
