Just in the recent past we had scholarship guys and sometimes starters who didn’t even have D1 athleticsm (which means a very low ceiling

This raises the question could he be recruited on scholarship for track and field and be on the basketball team. Looks like he could be on both teams!

Nice knowing you and good luck. Even the walk-ons are transferring.

Chuma is a great kid and a great Hoya (he had a fantastic interview on Hoya Locker Room a few weeks ago). But if he has a chance to finish his college career with a scholarship and get more playing time somewhere, I'd be hard-pressed to hold it against him.

Finally some sensible comments - a walk on kid with most likely a scholarship at a lower level school waiting for him transfers to take advantage of it. Let’s be real about him changing schools to enhance his chances of playing pro ball. Best of luck to the young man.

Chuma is from California. I wish the young man much success. Hopefully, he gets a scholarship from one of the Cal State or UC schools.

Good luck Chuma. This is a good call for his future. I'm sure he has his GU degree (or is at least close) and now this will allow him to get some PT for free (while hopefully getting paid). I think he'll be able to get on an international roster and can likely get into coaching after he's done (similar to the Terrell Allen path).

From what I hear, Chuma is a terrific student and great kid, who has taken full advantage of Georgetown academically, and has excellent banking/ other professional options ahead of him. While he loves hoops, his future is bright with or without basketball. Best of luck to him!
