I'm curious. Do teams travel early to the tournament and watch/scout future opponents at the arena or in a hotel Conference room?

It's hard to believe that we haven't played Seton Hall in the BET in 15 years.

What’s everyone’s prediction for tonight?
PC has beaten Butler twice in the last two weeks, plus OC has played well in the garden while I believe Butler only has 1 win in all their years of being in the BE. Naturally, give me Butler...
In the other game I think St John’s will rebound and come out with an inspired effort tonight, BUT if DePaul can get an early lead look out. That team may just roll over and die.

I am a believer in the “ tough to beat a team three times syndrome”, but here I do like Providence. A J Reeves is finally healthy, Diallo is a City kid. In fact I like them to beat Butler and Nova and maybe even the winner of X/CU and play the Hoyas in the final. St Johns HAS to win, and should, so we can play and beat them again.

Providence and St. John's tonight. Can't see DePaul having a chance against SJU in the garden, but we'll see. Can't wait for this weekend

They are probably looking at this like a brand new season. Butler has been trending down. If I had to choose, I would take SJU, but would it surprise me to see them completely implode if Strus is hot early? Not at all. Depaul beat them twice this season, so I would not call this a good match-up for SJU. That said, you would think being in MSG would at least raise the level of intensity enough for SJU to take out Depaul.

They just announced that tonight’s games are sold out. Was really not expecting to sell out the opening round, but I guess the St Johns crowd is really into it this year.

I have been trying to get to the big east tourney my entire life. I have had two train tickets cancelled because of snow and two trips cancelled because of work. I will be there this time and I can not WAIT! I have a one way train ticket and I hope I am not coming back until Sunday morning. HOYA SAXA! Well... that sucked. just boarded my train home. I'll be back next year.

Next season will be my 40th as a Hoya fan. Never been to the BET (mostly due to wife's medical issues). But I am committed to finally make it next year. Would absolutely love to meet my HoyaTalk brethren.
