No inside info on this one. Im gonna guess Michigan and hope I'm wrong. I don't think he's good enough for Michigan. Pretty random list. I think he's ours to lose and the timing associated with this might indicate that he's a re-class possibility (using the scholaraship that would have gone to Cisse).

Usually, I try to come on here and at least make my guess known... but here I have no idea. Colorado was his first visit, but has Colorado had any success in the DMV ever? COlorado also needs wings, but I heard they got passed by Nc State (who's not on this list) so are they just a courtesy after landing an official visit? Michigan has two wings already, no visit but did just offer. Is he gonna be the third wing in the recruiting class? Was this always his plan to announce today? I've heard nothing about Miami and don't know how he fits what Larranaga likes to run, so again I'm confused about how they are here. They might need wings, but seem to have more needs at both guard positions. Maybe they recruited Allen as a two? Also, I know verbalcommits doesn't have Miami listed as offering him. I don't know how verbalcommits is with this information, but that says something to me. And finally the Hoyas. Typically good in speedy recruitments and clearly are an option, but I feel I would've heard more about the Hoyas in recent months. But, a recruitment where analysts have no idea typically favor Georgetown. But the speed makes sense for Michigan and maybe Colorado. Staying home with the pandemic is an option also. I have some optimism. I don't want to get too optimistic though and feel too let down if he doesn't come here (probably too late considering I've typed out this whole message) but until we land a DMV prospect, I shouldn't guess Georgetown. Though, I do like making guesses so I'm going to. The Hoyas have been on him for a long time and a pandemic might lead him to stay home and in a non-pandemic situation, Colorado would be my guess. But all of these factors I've seen, dare I say, I'm going to guess Georgetown for the time being with very little confidence. Hopefully, Quincy comes to DC and he would be VERY welcome here, and I'd be very happy if he does. I have no idea where he goes. Switch it to Colorado. Evans placed a futurecast there too.

I should not have convinced myself off of Colorado, yet by going here I completely did. I did this one to myself.

This one is really embarrassing. Prioritizing a kid at a position of need and losing him to Tad Boyle and Colorado who will have a massive rebuild after this season is beyond embarrassing. Our DMV recruiting is beyond terrible.

Local, shooter, long, athletic, position of need, no blue bloods after him. And we still can't get it done

Since the day the Akinjo / LeBlanc transfers have been announced I feel like being a Hoya fan has been going through the five stages of grieving.
Denial Anger Bargaining Depression Acceptance
Not being able to get one of Allen, Williams, Cornish has moved me from bargaining to depression. Acceptance scheduled for end of next season.
Of course none of this is that serious but man it's been tough to watch. The beauty of recruiting is you can always hold out hope until every single commit is off the board. Surely none of us will care if our class is Mohammed, Collins, Mutombo. But w every passing day I'm just not sure how likely any of that is.

It's as simple as this, Coach Ewing must get a Baltimore and DC guy for local recruiting. The staff must get younger; the age of the guys he has is being used negatively I'm hearing. If this doesn't happen, unfortunately, it will cost him his job, sooner rather than later.
For his sake, I hope Coach Ewing swallows his pride and make the necessary changes.

But, if he doesn't put together a top 25ish 2021 then his seat should be incredibly hot going into the last year of his contract. 5 years in and the program's trajectory has only gotten worse.

I don't ordinarily post on any of the Recruiting threads, because too much hope and fantasy pervades the same. However, I think that, as we enter year number four of the Ewing years, it's fair to criticize his inability to successfully recruit locally. The loss of a local recruit to Colorado is alarming.
If Georgetown cannot successfully recruit on a national level for multi-star rated scholar/athletes, and if Georgetown cannot successfully recruit in the DMV for any level scholar/athletes, how do we think Georgetown can successfully compete in this conference? And if the present staff of assistant coaches can't assist in recruitment at all, why are they still there?
I hate to say it...but he's beginning to make Craig Esherick look good.

Notwithstanding our allegiance to GU and the allegiance of his father to GU, what makes us think that Ryan Mutombo would come here? It's probably the worst of his potential options right now.

The only silver lining in this loss is that Allen might not actually be that good. You'd expect a top 60-ish national kid to at least make All-Met. Somehow he managed to not be in the top 4 teams or 50 or so honorable mentions -- not last year either. Others have voiced their opinion on the board that he's not deserving of his current ranking.
I'm not trying to discount any of the venting -- there's plenty of things to beef about. But I'm still as hopeful as I was yesterday that the '21 class will be a good one.
