I hate that 1 up 4 down formation... We don't really have a play for it. Let's just be happy it didn't lead to a turnover that allowed them to get a decent shot. It's the little things.

Pleasantly surprised we closed the gap there. Carter and Kaleb key to that mini run there IMO.

Those are the best minutes Kaleb has given us for a long time. I think he got the first turnover for this team’s full court defense. Hard to believe that Georgetown has about the least productive full court defense I have ever seen.

amazing that carter is a much better interior defender than govan Hate to say it but it’s true, as someone else stated Jessie has to stop worrying about picking up fouls... I like Carter a lot...

Mea culpa. Grayson Carter light years ahead of our starting center defensively in the post. Exactly. Face it, Govan kills us defensively. PE's whole offense is predicated on making defensive stops and running. So what do you do with Jesse?

Carter’s stroke on that 3 was so smooth. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of that.

This next half will be a real coaching test. Both teams have weaknesses. Let's see which coach is best at exploiting them.

One of the other keys defensively for any team is strong communication and high levels of activity. A lot of coaches will tell you that starts with your Center, which I agree with. Unfortunately Jessie is more of a deliberate player. It's great for offense but not for the anchor of your defense. As much as James and Mac have changed our team on offense, a new interior defender will change defense.
We just need a C to play the role that LeBlanc had early in the season: defense, high activity, rebounding. Btw, what has happened to him...maybe he's sick or hit an early Freshman wall (which he can bounce back from either). I hope he comes out strong in the second half and focuses on the boards, offense will come from there. He's on pace for his 8 rpg average but a couple more on the offensive end would help.

Why don't we just watch the game/season and determine what care coaching errors vs player error after the fact.

He’s a bit turnover prone and hasn’t been a good finisher, but happy with his play thus far today.

James & Mac rarely meet a drive they don't think they can finish (layup or pass). Sometimes you gotta back it out. (Hey! Tarik just said that!)
