At what point do we start to question the coaching? This team is regressing from what I’ve seen. At what point do we start questioning the fan base?

Another disappointing performance so far. PGs hold the ball too much and shoot too much. Watch all the other players move the ball around. I understand living with their mistakes but I am not seeing any accountability when these young ones play out of control. Sit them. Let them learn and bring them back in. What game are you watching? Sorry and I am glad you see it differently, but i wrote what i see and it is not impressive. I am as high on Akinjo and McClung as most but right now I know that when Akinjo comes down and launches a bad shot on two consecutive possessions instead of running the half court offense, he sits and gets taught. That was what. Big John did with his players, stars included. Bring Akinjo back in a short time later. Same with McClung who does seem to have a shirted leash. Where is Blair tonight?

All things considered that was a very bad half of basketball. I expect certain players to sit in the second half and things should get better. I thought it was fine, just tighten up the defense, specifically transition D and our post defense. The game plan should have been to let them shoot threes, what can you do when they hit a larger percentage of them? We are leading a team by 5 that wasn't very good to begin with that is missing their 2 best guards. The current version of their team isn't even a bad major level team. The defense is bad and the offense looks like hot garbage with certain lineups on the court.

I understand living with their mistakes but I am not seeing any accountability when these young ones play out of control. Sit them. Let them learn and bring them back in. Ewing typically does if he sees them making multiple mistakes in a row. He did with Mac early in this one after he launched a couple I’ll advised 3s with 15+ seconds left on the shot clock. I don’t have a problem with his drives, but he either has to look to dish or try to dunk and force the foul call. He’ll get those calls later in his career but he’s not gonna get them right now. Our problems if you can call them that are 100% on the defensive end. On ball defense is bad, help defense is bad, 3 pt defense is bad. We put up 40 pts against a team that plays a slow, methodical offense and a zone defense. Would have been more if we hadn’t blown a few fast break opportunities. Offense isn’t the problem here. There are definitely lineups that looked great in the first half. Those lineups didn't play nearly enough.

See Lebron bricking layups last night? This is game 7 for a freshman led team. Sure Govan is a senior, but our team will only go as far as our freshman backcourt can carry us.

The offense can't be much better, what are you talking about? The defense needs to improve greatly. I don't really see the point of your extreme negative point of view at this point in the game.

Richmond is shooting 56% from the field in the first half, including 62.5% inside the arc. I'm guessing that statistic speaks for itself in terms of our performance defensively.

How about a lineup with LeBlanc, Johnson and Mosely, our best defenders with Akinjo and Govan

“Watching” on radio. The box score seems decent and it sounds like things are going okay.
Akinjo is 3 of 4 from 3, but 0 for 2 for shorter range. He has 3 TOS so far, but it seems like he is doing alright.

Has anyone given thought to the possibility that Ewing, facing a manageable opponent, is experimenting with different line-ups and players?

I have no problem with the freshman making mistakes. I have no issues with the offensive execution. But we are letting a team with no offensive firepower score with ease. We have an above average freshman defender, and he plays one brief spurt. We have a senior grad transfer guard, and he plays limited minutes also. I just don’t see how that half could be viewed as anything other than a let down.
